This Technical Program Manager role focuses on Android platform security, ensuring the safety and security of Android devices worldwide. Responsibilities include driving security assurance across the Android, Pixel, and Google Home ecosystems; executing security initiatives and new product introduction processes; collaborating with internal and external engineering teams to manage security programs for Google's product portfolio (Fitbit, GHP, Pixel, Nest, etc.); and working with stakeholders to define work problems, prioritize deliverables, and discuss program impact. The ideal candidate will have experience in managing projects, product lifecycle management, technical program management, and cybersecurity, with a strong understanding of operational security processes and cross-functional project management. Experience working with global engineering teams is highly beneficial.
Must have:
- Bachelor's degree in CS or equivalent
- 2+ years project management experience
- Experience in product lifecycle management
- Cybersecurity expertise
- Drive security assurance across Android ecosystem
Good to have:
- Experience automating operational security processes
- Cross-functional/cross-team project management
- Working with global engineering teams

Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a computer science, or equivalent practical experience.
- 2 years of experience in managing projects.

- Experience in managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
- Experience in working with engineering teams across different time zones.

- Drive and enhance security assurance across the Android, Pixel, and Google Home Ecosystem, safeguarding Android devices across the Globe.
- Ensure the execution of security initiatives, new Product Introduction process, promoting security and privacy, and empowering Google and industry partners to identify, remediate, and disclose vulnerabilities within our device ecosystem.
- Partner with internal and external engineering teams to manage security programs for Google product portfolio (e.g., Fitbit, GHP, Pixel(Phone & Watch), Nest etc.).
- Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to understand or identify defined work problems and program goals, obtain prioritized deliverables, and discuss program impact.
- Prioritize program goals, understand and translate other stakeholder's needs into program goals and prioritized deliverables with assistance, and contribute to decisions on prioritizing goals and deliverables.
