Job Description

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you'll lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects related to data center infrastructure. Responsibilities include resolving critical infrastructure incidents (BMS, EPMS), leading technical projects involving BMS and EPMS (scope, schedule, budget, resource allocation), analyzing operational data to identify trends and drive process improvements, and developing dashboards to monitor system health. You'll work with stakeholders, manage project execution, communicate with cross-functional partners, and present analyses and recommendations to executives. A strong background in BMS/SCADA systems, industrial controls, and data-driven problem-solving is essential. The role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to tailor messages to diverse audiences.
Must have:
  • Bachelor's degree in technical field or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years program management experience
  • 4+ years BMS/SCADA experience
  • Experience with FactoryTalk and Ignition
  • Experience in critical environments (data centers)
  • Incident resolution expertise
  • Project leadership skills
  • Data analysis and visualization
  • Excellent communication skills
Good to have:
  • Master's degree in related field
  • 10+ years in facilities management/data center operations
  • 5+ years managing cross-functional projects
  • Executive-level communication experience

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in program management.
  • 4 years of experience with Building Management Systems (BMS) controls and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems.
  • Experience with designing, configuring, and troubleshooting BMS and SCADA systems using software like Factory-talk and Ignition.
  • Experience with industrial controls in critical environments (e.g., data centers, manufacturing, pharmaceuticals).

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or a related technical field.
  • 10 years of experience in facilities management, data center operations, or related engineering fields.
  • 5 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
  • Experience with executive-level communication.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to tailor messages to different audiences.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $142,000-$211,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Resolve incidents related to critical infrastructure, including Business Management System (BMS) and Electrical Power Monitoring Systems (EPMS). This may involve troubleshooting, coordinating with vendors, and implementing preventative measures.
  • Lead technical projects, such as those involving Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Monitoring Systems (EPMS). This includes developing project scope, schedule, budget, and resource allocation, as well as managing project execution to ensure timely delivery and quality.
  • Collect and analyze operational data, including incident reports and system performance metrics, to identify trends and drive process improvements.
  • Develop dashboards and visualizations to monitor system health, identify optimization opportunities, and make data-backed recommendations to enhance operational efficiency.
