Warehousing & Distribution (W&D) Logistics Specialist

About the role

The Warehousing & Distribution (W&D) Logistics Specialist is an operational role focused on supporting day to day excellence in logistics operational activities across the CEE region. The job holder is expected to work as part of a cross functional team based in different locations across the CEE region and is required to support opportunities to improve, eradicate or facilitate operational activities in conjunction with Operations Supervisor.

This role reports to W&D Relationship manager MMW. The job holder will collaborate closely with Operations Supervisor and other Logistics Specialists to facilitate seamless high levels of customer service.

Role Responsibilities

Operational Excellence:

• Inbound to warehouses: resolve issues related to inbound movements to warehouses to enable smooth progress of all inbound goods.

• Outbound: resolve issues relating to deliveries, returns, claims and damages to ensure best in class levels of customer satisfaction working collectively with Customer Service teams.

• Transport: selection of suitable transport partners for transport lanes, monitoring of standards and resolution of transport issues for both customer deliveries and inter-company transport activities

• Repacking: Liaise with internal stakeholders and third-party organizations to meet business requirements for repacking activities

• Customs: Support individual country requirements for Export and Import activities

• Export market activities: Support local teams by providing “right first time” deliveries to all export locations, including correct documentation.

• Quality and compliance: Support Haleon quality and compliance requirements for all logistics activities.

• Stock management and auditing: Ensure reconciliation of stock differences with warehouse operators and maintenance of correct stock levels in Haleon system, including physical stock counting at stock-holding locations.

• Systems; Identify, escalate, and support resolution of issues with systems performance including Master Data maintenance.

• Finance: Support W&D inputs to budgeting process, financial management and expenditure control with external providers

• Key Performance indicators and standards monitored and used to generate improvement action plans.

Project management and Organizational Interaction

• Collaborate in project teams on logistics project activities as required by W&D management team.

• Collaborate with internal and local stakeholders as required by W&D management team to align logistics activities with overall business objectives.

• Engage with external partners, such as 3PL providers, repackers, and transport companies to optimize collaborative efforts and achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.

Why you?

Basic Qualifications:

• Demonstrable experience in logistics and supply chain management.

• Evidence of Project Management experience.

• Experience in logistics activities in FMCG or Pharmaceutical industries.

• Good understanding of warehouse operations and best practices.

• Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and warehouse systems.

• Evidence of involvement in change management projects and organizational transformation.

• Fluent English and Hungarian language skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.

• Excellent communication skills to engage with stakeholders at various levels.

• Ability to work on own initiative and comfortable with delegated responsibility.

• Able to work in a complex, multi-national business environment.

• Experience of working with external partners on projects.

• Wider business acumen and commercial experience.
