Job Description

As a Front-End Test Automation Engineer at Hawk-Eye Innovations, you will embed and elevate testing practices across agile teams. Responsibilities include building scalable, robust, and maintainable test automation frameworks for frontend, backend, and data systems (web, desktop, and API services). You will integrate automated testing into CI/CD workflows, evaluate current processes, identify gaps and implement improvements, and advocate for automation to boost efficiency and reliability. You will also identify opportunities to refine testing processes and evolve the overall quality strategy. The role requires expertise in tools like Cypress, Playwright, SikuliX, and Pytest, as well as API automation and backend testing using Postman or similar tools. Proficiency in automating UI tests and solid understanding of JavaScript or Java are essential.

As a Front-End Test Automation Engineer, you’ll embed and elevate testing practices across agile, cross-functional teams. Your expertise will help us refine QA approaches, implement best-in-class strategies, and ensure our systems deliver excellence during critical sporting events.

What Your Day Will Look Like

Build scalable, robust, and maintainable frameworks for frontend, backend, and data systems, including web, desktop, and API services, driving best-in-class testing strategies.
Embed automated testing in CI/CD workflows for seamless build, test, and deployment cycles.
Evaluate current processes, identify gaps, and implement improvements aligned with organizational goals.
Advocate for automation by targeting high-value areas and implementing solutions to boost testing efficiency and reliability.
Identify opportunities to refine testing processes, share insights, and evolve the overall quality strategy.

Skills, Knowledge, and Expertise

Proven expertise in building and maintaining robust test automation frameworks using tools like Cypress, Playwright, SikuliX, and Pytest.
Advanced skills in API automation and backend testing using tools such as Postman or equivalent.
Proficiency in automating UI tests, ensuring cross-browser and cross-device compatibility.
Solid understanding of JavaScript or Java, with experience in modern frontend and backend frameworks.
Hands-on experience with integrating test automation into CI/CD pipelines for efficient and reliable deployments.

C++/Computer Vision: C++17/20, Qt, Boost, ZeroMQ, ElasticSearch.
Web: Java, Node.js, RESTful APIs, JUnit.
General: Git, Docker, AWS, Jenkins, GitHub Actions.
