Job Description

The Admissions Team Leader will be responsible for providing leadership and line management to Senior Admissions Assessment Officers (SAAO) and Admissions Assessment Officers (AAO) for managed clients. This role involves overseeing and managing multiple clients to ensure seamless service delivery and collaborating with stakeholders. The Team Leader will also act as a point of reference for data, information, and insights for the managed clients. Key responsibilities include managing team performance, organizing regular team meetings, providing feedback to the Admissions Manager, collaborating on training plans, ensuring client SLAs are met, and advising on resource optimization. The role also entails reporting and analysis, ensuring reports are accurate and up-to-date, compiling client reports, verifying application data for invoicing, and providing performance insights. Additionally, the Team Leader will ensure application assessment services align with client protocols, support quality checks, lead new business implementations, maintain positive client communication, and comply with client policies and legislation. This is a full-time, permanent hybrid role.
Must have:
  • Lead SAAOs and AAOs for managed clients.
  • Oversee multiple clients for seamless service delivery.
  • Act as a point of reference for client data and insights.

This position offers a hybrid work model, allowing flexibility between working from home and our office.

Typically, employees are expected to work 2 days in the office per week.

The role


Team Leader is focused on these key areas:

 

  • To provide leadership and line manage the Senior Admissions Assessment Officers (SAAO) and Admissions Assessment Officers (AAO) for the managed clients
  • Oversee and manage multiple clients to ensure there is seamless delivery of the services for the managed clients and collaborating with the respective stakeholders.
  • Point of reference for data and information or insights for the managed client/s

 

Role responsibilities


Team Management:

 

  • Lead a team of SAAOs and AAOs for managed clients, focusing on matters related to daily operations, management and staff performance across regions
  • Organise and schedule regular team meetings to gather any feedback or issues that needs further attention and resolving them immediately
  • Provide regular updates and feedback to the Admissions Manager or as and when required
  • Collaborate with the Admissions Manager to prepare and execute training plans and schedule for onboarding of new team members
  • Ensure in prioritising client/s’ SLAs when assigning tasks to team members and monitoring these closely
  • Engaged in resource planning needs by having an overview of overall Admissions resource availability and advise on resource optimisation
  • Participate in the hiring process as a panel member as requested by the Admissions Manager or Global Director.


Reporting and Analysis:

 

  • Ensure reports are readily available, up-to-date and accurate
  • Compiling and presenting reports for managed clients in a timely manner or as scheduled
  • Verify data on application volumes and providing that data for the purpose of client invoicing and reporting
  • Provide insights into the performance or measurement of success for the managed client


Other responsibilities:

 

  • Ensure that application assessment service is delivered in line with clients’ protocols
  • Support the SAAOs in performing quality checks on applications processed and providing necessary guidance and coaching
  • To lead and support new business and service implementation by collaborating with various stakeholders and client/s
  • Ensure client communication is maintained in a positive, constructive and professional manner and as advised by the client/s to ensure transparency and consistency
  • Comply with clients’ policies and procedures and relevant legislation
  • Engage and lead admissions team in respective client meetings
  • To support the overall Admissions team in operational matters
  • Participate in new projects or services within the Admissions team
  • Any other additional duties as required


Key skills and experience


  • Preferably with at least 3 years’ experience in leading teams or projects
  • Demonstrated success in achieving team or project goals and objectives is desirable
  • Ability to multi-task effectively and achieve company’s objectives
  • Creative thinking, innovative and resourceful in decision making
  • Excellent spoken and written English language skills
  • Adaptability to new processes and systems or technology
