Job Description

As an Associate Global Customs Specialist, your primary role is to manage and document inventory transfers between Aptiv Tijuana and Aptiv Mexico, ensuring orderly and efficient recording in the Customs system. You will handle operations documentation, support internal audits, follow up on tasks, address contingencies, log entries, validate data against SAP and customs documents, report discrepancies, and coordinate daily customs document closing, including on-site inventory control.
Must have:
  • Operations documentation management (Virtual Import/Export)
  • Consult EOS Customs processes
  • Sporadic participation in Internal Audit processes
  • Support and follow-up on tasks from the previous shift in the customs area
  • Support and attention to any contingencies in the area and/or services
  • Logging entries
  • Validation of physical data vs. SAP
  • Validation of physical data vs. Customs Document/Invoice Reporting discrepancies
  • Follow-up on Rectified Documents
  • Validation of daily movements
  • Daily movement reporting to GTO
  • Coordination of daily customs document closing
  • On-site inventory control vs. 2TS system

  • As Associate Global Customs Specialist on our team:

The primary function of this position is to ensure that inventory transfers from Aptiv Tijuana to Aptiv Mexico are carried out in an orderly manner and are efficiently recorded and reported. This position is also responsible for documenting these transfers in the Customs system.

In your daily job you will:

  • Operations documentation management (Virtual Import/Export)
  • Does not make unilateral decisions and learns to consult EOS Customs processes.
  • Sporadic participation in Internal Audit processes such as File Control.
  • Support and follow-up on tasks from the previous shift in the customs area.
  • Support and attention to any contingencies in the area and/or services.
  • Logging entries.
  • Validation of physical data vs. SAP
  • Validation of physical data vs. Customs Document/Invoice Reporting discrepancies.
  • Follow-up on Rectified Documents k. Validation of daily movements.
  • Daily movement reporting to GTO
  • Coordination of daily customs document closing
  • On-site inventory control vs. 2TS system.

YOUR BACKGROUND

  • Key skills and competencies for succeeding in this role are:
  • Bachelor's degree terminated
  • English level intermediate
  • Experience in Customs (minimum 1 year)
  • MS Office
  • Knowledge in imports and exports
  • Knowledge physical inventories
