APM terminals has embarked on an exciting new growth strategy. Based on its vast experience and internationally recognized processes we aim to have a best-in-class implementation setup through standardized and optimized clear processes whilst managing an agile team to enable delivery. This setup will enable successful evaluation and delivery of various types of projects including large new capital investments, integration of mergers and acquisitions and expansions of existing facilities.
Our ability to deliver projects firstly to our business needs as well as within their set parameters of HSSE, budget, scope, time, quality in a total integrated manner, delivers real value to the company. We build on and aim to continuously improve our project management framework to increase the incremental value delivered to the APM Terminals business.
The key purpose of this position is to give professional expertise and input to new business cases and due diligences for potential acquisitions, greenfields or terminal expansion projects.
This role is responsible for maintaining and improving the overall processes, tools and standards regarding how we integrated and implement businesses in new terminals and to actively drive, support and govern deployment of this standards. Business Integration Manager will drive integration activities within dedicated projects.
This role requires a strategic thinker with deep expertise in change management, project management, finance and business operations. The individual will work closely with leadership teams of terminals, projects and HQ/Regions, functional teams to ensure that all aspects of the integration align with the company’s strategic goals, and that value creation is maximized.
Business Integration Strategy:
Support the development and deployment of Business Integration frameworks, tools, and standards for APM Terminals.
Due Diligence & Business Cases:
Provide professional input during the due diligence process and for business cases related to potential acquisitions, greenfield, and terminal expansion projects.
Project Planning & Execution:
Develop and execute detailed integration plans, including cost, schedule, risk assessments, and stakeholder management for assigned projects.
Cross-functional Coordination:
Lead and coordinate integration teams across Finance, HR, IT, Operations, and Legal to ensure alignment with integration goals.
Collaboration & Change Management:
Foster a culture of collaboration and work closely with People Function to align organizational structures and manage talent retention. Develop change management strategies to ease employee transitions to new processes and systems.
Resource Management:
Coordinate internal and external resources, including managing outsourced services when necessary, to ensure the successful completion of integration activities.
Reporting & Risk Management:
Deliver progress reports to leadership and stakeholders, identifying and mitigating potential integration risks early.
Problem Solving & Issue Resolution:
Address and resolve integration issues swiftly, minimizing business disruptions. Identify opportunities for operational efficiencies and further value creation.
Best Practices:
Support the ongoing development of best practices for future M&A activities, maintaining high standards of project management and integration processes.
