This is a 6+ month contract opportunity. The role is located in San Francisco, CA, and is hybrid.
Our client is seeking a Creative Strategist to join their Core Product Excellence team, leading the development of impactful storytelling and messaging that brings our product strategy and innovation priorities to life. In this highly collaborative role, you’ll partner closely with senior leadership to shape narratives that drive executive communications, strengthen team culture, and elevate internal product storytelling.
You’ll craft compelling content for the company’s most critical moments—board meetings, all-hands presentations, product launches, and innovation showcases—ensuring our client's product vision is consistently communicated with clarity, focus, and inspiration. Working in lockstep with a visual designer, you'll translate complex ideas into cohesive themes, messaging frameworks, and engaging language that align stakeholders and energize teams.
This is a strategic, high-impact role blending creative storytelling, stakeholder collaboration, and product acumen—with a direct line of sight into how we communicate vision and priorities across the business.
Responsibilites:
Lead narrative development for the product strategy and vision, crafting high-level messaging frameworks for executive communications and internal storytelling.
Translate strategic input from senior leaders into compelling narratives—across presentations, microsites, scripts, and events—anchored in consistent messaging throughout the year.
Establish a scalable communication process with reusable briefs, templates, and workflows to streamline executive storytelling.
Collaborate with product, design, and communications teams to align messaging across leadership channels and internal platforms.
Contribute to the storytelling experience for key milestones and events, including vision rollouts, internal showcases, and product launch communications.
Stay closely attuned to evolving product priorities, roadmap themes, and business strategies to ensure alignment and relevance in messaging.
Requirements:
7+ years of experience in creative strategy, UX writing, content design, or brand storytelling—preferably in product-driven environments and with executive-level support.
A strong portfolio demonstrating your ability to shape business strategy into clear, audience-focused messaging.
Expertise in strategic storytelling across multiple formats—presentations, scripts, microsites, campaigns—with an adaptable tone for varying audiences.
A collaborative approach with a track record of partnering directly with executives, designers, and product managers.
A bias for action—comfortable with ambiguity, able to pivot quickly, and skilled at distilling evolving ideas into clear, persuasive narratives. You move fast, deliver high-quality work, and maintain strategic clarity under tight deadlines.
