The Data Ingest Analyst at Gracenote (a Nielsen company) performs editorial, administrative, and analytical functions related to creating media databases and content, focusing on audiovisual media. Responsibilities include issuing technical instructions to engineering teams, building relationships with content providers, handling editorial and customer support cases, sourcing metadata, conducting market analysis, improving data quality, maintaining ingest processes, identifying areas for improvement, communicating market trends, and handling ad-hoc projects. The role requires weekend work, strong writing and verbal skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work outside regular business hours. The ideal candidate is process-driven, comfortable with technology and programming terminology, and able to build relationships internally and externally. Strong analytical skills, ability to handle time pressure, and a high affinity with computers are essential.

We are currently looking for a Data Ingest Analyst to join our Ingest team.
About The Role:
The Data Ingest Analyst performs editorial, administrative and analytical functions related to the ongoing development and creation of media databases and content, specifically in the audiovisual sphere. This person will be responsible for securing text and image data related to TV Series, Movies and Sports airing on TV or video-on-demand and which will in turn enable various Content Video teams to perform complex manipulations on the entertainment information that forms the core of Gracenote’s media database.
Responsibilities:
• Issue technical instructions to Internal Engineering teams
• Establish relationships with Content Providers in the media industry market space
• Handle Editorial Support Cases
• Handle Customer Support Cases
• Source & Acquire schedules and metadata for Content Video teams
• Conduct Market Analysis
• Improve Quality of Inbound data feeds
• Maintain the existing ingest process to ensure it works smoothly (fix errors, improve parsers)Identify areas for improvements in the current data ingest infrastructure
• Communicate market trends, challenges and improvements to Editorial teams and Content Providers
• Ad Hoc Project work
Requirements/Qualifications:
• We are looking for an individual who can work on the weekends.
• You are very process driven and are able to handle workflows across various systems.
• Must have impeccable writing and verbal skills in English.
• Effective organizational, grammatical, analytical, spelling, writing and communication skills.
• We are looking for a quality focused individual with a high level of attention to detail.
• Must be able and willing to work outside regular business hours if required.
• Windows proficiency and / or experience using other computer software and databases.
• Strong technical understanding preferable.
