The Data IO Coordinator assists in daily operations of One of Us' technical teams. Working closely with Project Management, the role involves scheduling tasks, updating databases, escalating blockers, monitoring ticket queues, and providing team support. Responsibilities include prioritizing daily/weekly tasks, maintaining trackers, resolving issues, and managing expectations. The role offers a potential pathway to technical project management or working within technical teams. Experience with Jira or similar ticketing systems and a production assistant background within VFX is required. A keen interest in VFX technical workflows and good communication skills are essential.

The role. Data IO Coordinator, Reporting to VFX Technical Project Manager, London

One of Us is looking for a Data IO Coordinator who will assist and support the daily operations of the OOU technical teams. Working closely with the Project Management team, the role will gain an understanding of VFX workflows for the technical teams and develop skills in long term planning, scheduling and reporting. Given the fast paced nature of the role, attention to detail, clear communication and solid time management are key.

This role could be a step towards a career in technical project management or working within the technical teams in our studio.

Responsibilities:

● Assist with scheduling and prioritise daily and weekly tasks for the technical teams based on information provided by production and artists (i.e. show setup, version zeros, ingests,deliveries, showreels).

● Assist the team by helping keep databases and trackers up to date.

● Support to escalate blockers and find resolution with support from senior technical teammembers.

● Help monitor ticket queues and ensure expectations are pro-actively managed.

● Provide support for the team, i.e. time with relevant artists, information from other departments and reporting.

What we are looking for:

● Experience with Jira or other ticketing systems.

● Experience as a production assistant within the VFX industry.

● Have an interest in VFX technical workflows - enthusiastic and excited to learn.

● Basic Level of G-suite - specifically sheets/excel

● A clear communicator - written and verbal communications.

● Good problem solving skills and the ability to proactively resolve queries and suggest

improvements.

● The drive to make things better with the humility to admit when something isn’t working, taking the right decision to ensure we find the best solution.

● An infectious energy, focusing on results and having a positive impact on colleagues and clients.

● Self awareness and ability to resolve and diffuse problems treating colleagues and clients with kindness and respect.

● Ability to work well with others navigating different personalities to get the best out of everyone.

Preferable but not required experience:


● Basic understanding of VFX Workflows.

● Experience with ShotGrid or other production tracking tools (i.e. ftrack).

Hours and location

Our core hours are 09:00 - 18:00 Monday to Friday. We have a great office in Old Street where many of our teams work from, hybrid working may be possible depending on team working pattern.
