Data Scientists provide quantitative support, market understanding and a strategic perspective to our partners throughout the organization. As a data-loving member of the team, you serve as an analytics expert for your partners, using numbers to help them make better decisions. You will weave stories with meaningful insight from data. You'll make critical recommendations for your fellow Googlers in Engineering and Product Management. You relish tallying up the numbers one minute and communicating your findings to a team leader the next.

The Google Mobile Services (GMS) Core team within Google Play is the underlying platform for many Google services and APIs. Google Play provides apps, games, and digital content services that bring Android devices to life. It’s a Google approach to entertainment, syncing magically across your devices and the web. GMS core team’s mission is to provide the best mobile services to three billion plus devices across all Android platforms around the world while ensuring data transparency, privacy and user trust at the same time. The Product Analytics team provides business critical insights using analytics, ensures cross- functional alignment of goals and execution, and helps teams drive strategic partnerships and new initiatives forward.

In this role, you will partner closely with Product Management, Engineers, User Experience and cross-functional teams to work on these high impact business problems together, to shape the product narrative, design experiments, launch features and measure success. You will have a high quality database and analysis tools to work with, which empowers you to derive insights and land product recommendations.
