About the role
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Database Administrator to join our dynamic team. If you have a passion for database management and a solid foundation in MongoDB, and Cassandra, we want to hear from you!
What you will do
- Assist in the design, implementation, and maintenance of database solutions Cassandra, and MongoDB.
- Monitor database performance and assist in implementing changes and applying new patches and versions.
- Collaborate with development teams to design and optimize database queries and structures.
- Perform basic database tuning, troubleshooting, and optimization.
- Assist in implementing and managing backup and recovery strategies.
- Provide technical support and guidance to other team members as needed.
- Stay updated with the latest database technologies and best practices.
Who you are and what you bring
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in database administration.
- At least 2 years of hands-on experience with MongoDB. and Cassandra.
- Basic knowledge of database design, performance tuning, and optimization.
- Experience with database backup and recovery, security, and high availability.
- Proficiency in SQL and scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Certification in database management (e.g., AWS Certified, MongoDB Certified DBA).
- Experience with cloud-based database solutions and services.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools.
