Job Description
This job description outlines the key skills and responsibilities for a Data Center (DC) role. The candidate should possess knowledge of Routing and Switching technologies, including IGP, OSPF, EGP, BGP, STP, and VLANs. Experience in Data Center, Cloud, and Virtualization industries, specifically with ACI and Nexus products, is essential. The role involves installation, configuration, testing, and troubleshooting of Cisco routers and switches, as well as network solution design. Strong communication skills are required to interact with engineers, executives, and customers. Cross-functional influence and consulting skills are also necessary. This role requires a minimum of 3 years and a maximum of 6 years of experience.
Must have:
- Knowledge on Routing and switching Technologies like IGP, OSPF, EGP, BGP
- Knowledge on Data Center, Cloud and Virtualization industry, ACI, Nexus products
- Experienced Knowledge on LAN SW Technologies like STP, RSTP, VTP, vPC, VLAN, etc.
- Knowledge of Cisco switching Platforms like Cat 6500, Nexus 7K, 5k, 3K and 9k
- Experience in installation, configuration, testing and troubleshooting Cisco routers and switch
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills

- Knowledge on Routing and switching Technologies like IGP, OSPF, EGP, BGP, STP, RSTP, VTP, VSS, vPC, vDC, MSTP, LACP, VLAN.
- Knowledge on Data Center, Cloud and Virtualization industry, ACI, Nexus products.
- Experienced Knowledge on LAN SW Technologies like STP, RSTP, VTP, VSS, vPC, vDC, MSTP, LACP, VLAN, DCNM, OTV, Fex, Fabricpath, LISP.
- Knowledge of Cisco switching Platforms like Cat 6500, 6800, 4500, 3850, Nexus 7K, Nexus 5k, Nexus 3K and Nexus9k ( standalone and ACI)
- Experience in installation, configuration, testing and troubleshooting and/or Network solution designing of Cisco routers and switch
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills, ability to communicate technology strategy and architecture approach to engineers, executives, and Cisco customers.
- Strong consulting & client-facing skills to include cross-functional influence, external and internal consulting.
