Junior Technical Designer

We’re looking for a Junior Technical Designer to assist in the production of layout and design content for Ghost of Yotei.

You will play a pivotal role on the Content Tech team, transforming prototype assets and final production work into playable, functional products for our Game.

We’re looking for someone with Maya experience, an eye for detail, and a creative mind to work as an intermediary between art and design.

Responsibilities
  • Work with the Design and Environment team, reviewing and enforcing the product’s spatial requirements as it relates to art assets.
  • Manage gameplay assets to ensure pathing and player-necessary rigging for the product.
  • Working with the Narrative and Mission team to prototype new gameplay assets for production.
  • Create and track your own schedule for layout rigging needs and their dependencies.
Qualifications
  • 1 + years of experience with Maya modeling and texturing. Candidate should be working at mid to high proficiency.
  • Art, Architecture or Computer Science background, with a Senior grade level (minimum) or a bachelor’s degree in the related field.
  • Excellent communication skills and an ability to work across disciplines.
  • Passionate about making great games.
  • Must be eligible to work in the US.
  • Must be able to work on-site in our Bellevue, WA studio.
Bonus Factors
  • Ability to model and texture game environments and assets.
  • Experience working with art asset pipelines.
  • A primary interest in level layout and design.
  • Previous work with scripting in Python for Maya automation.
