About the Role & Program:
Disney Digital Studio Services (DDSS) is a division of the Studio Operations team who handles all on-lot and off-lot post production services and screenings. The DDSS Client Service Team’s goal is to make all of our filmmakers experience the industries best. With our provided world-class facilities and team, we help guide filmmakers through the challenges and complexities of today’s digital production, post production, and delivery process. DDSS is more than a facility vendor; we are a filmmaker’s partner. The DDSS Screening Team, manages the Global process for approvals, content fulfillment and event coordination for all non-revenue screenings for both theatrical and streaming titles. This includes pre-and post-release screenings of all features, shorts and streaming content in both our high-end internal Disney theaters and various public venues. The team manages a screening request from initial entry, approval, fulfillment, through the completion of the event.
We will share all responsibilities of our Client Service Team & Screenings Team, including our state-of-the-art accommodations, theaters and impressive array of services that are available here at Disney and off-lot at our Empire facility with our Intern. It is our goal to connect the Intern with the greatest minds and resources Disney can offer.
This internship is a full-time commitment in the Burbank, CA area from May 2025 - August 2025.
What You Will Do:
Shadows and assists each Client Service Rep (CSR), so the candidate is provided a wide understanding of the Digital Studio Editorial/Theater/Stage portfolio ON-LOT and OFF-LOT and its services. Partners with CSR team to handle the concierge role such as producing parking passes, going on coffee runs and keeping the kitchen pantries stocked, organized, and clean
Partners with the CSR team in DDSS marketing efforts to showcase DDSS Editorial/Theater/Stage portfolio. Such as, but not limited to updating our DDSS Books, creating and editing stories for the DDSS web site and social media outlets, as well as coordinating efforts for others within DDSS to participate in preparing content for the website or other marketing functions. In addition the ACSR would assist with our participation and relationships with the filmmaker groups/societies/and guilds
Assist in being the point person between the client and Studio Operations, Studio Trades, and/or Facilities Services and Support (FS&S). Tracks, monitors, and follows up on FS&S requests. Delivers customer service by being helpful on the technical side, through the gathering and understanding technical and business requirements, schedules and workflows
Shadows our Screening team, allowing the candidate to receive an overview of the end-to-end process for both on lot and off lot screening events
Will have an opportunity to understand the screening content process by assisting the team in data reviews and daily meetings to ensure screening needs are met
Gain an understanding of the technical aspects of screenings by attending meetings with engineering teams, observing an event rehearsal and helping to track events via calendar and GSS system reporting
Required Qualifications & Skills:
Experience using Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
Experience working in collaborative environments and managing multiple projects
Able to think critically and creatively to overcome challenges and find solutions collaboratively is crucial
High attention to detail and experience multitasking in a fast-paced environment
Experience using social media platforms to engage with an audience
Adaptability – being flexible and open to changes
Required Education:
Junior or Senior year preferred
Major or previous coursework in Communications
Eligibility Requirements & Program Information:
Be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree taking at least one class at time of application OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship. Current Disney Interns, College, International, or Culinary Program Participants: You may only work for ONE consecutive year (12 months) in any combination of an internship and/or program.
Be at least 18 years of age
Possess unrestricted work authorization
Additional Information:
All candidates must be able to provide their own housing and transportation. Position is located in Burbank, CA
All candidates must be willing to work approx. 40 hours/week (MON-FRI, 8:30AM-5:30PM PST) with flexibility to work the occasional Saturday, and early morning 7AM shift.
