Job Description

Garena is seeking a Game Artist for its incubation team, experience level is irrelevant. Responsibilities include designing engaging game art concepts and characters, creating assets for games (characters, backgrounds, etc.), and collaborating with developers and PMs on incubation projects. The focus is on creating art that effectively communicates the project's goals at each stage (prototype, alpha testing), with a shift toward higher art quality upon project launch. A strong understanding of art creation software (Photoshop, Illustrator, Blender, Maya) is required. Familiarity with Unreal or Unity is a plus.

Must have:

Proficient in game art
Create unique and engaging art
Skilled in graphic tools (Photoshop, Illustrator, Blender, Maya)
Team collaboration skills
Understanding of game art styles

Good to have:

Basic understanding of Unreal or Unity
Active feedback participation
Open to suggestions and discussions

Job Description

유저 대상 흥미를 유발할 개성 있는 게임 아트 컨셉 설정 및 캐릭터를 디자인 합니다.
게임에 적용 가능한 캐릭터 및 배경 리소스 등 담당 인큐베이션 프로젝트의 아트 전반을 제작합니다.
일반적인 게임 개발 과정이 아닌 인큐베이션임을 착안할 시 프로토타입, 알파테스팅 등 각 단계에서의 아트 완성도 보다는 각 단계에서 검증하고자 하는 바가 잘 표현이 되도록 or 특징이 드러나도록 디자인하는 것이 핵심입니다.
이후 해당 프로젝트가 론칭 결정될 시 일반적인 게임 개발과 유사하게 아트 완성도가 중요합니다.
인큐베이션 팀 내 개발/기획, PM과 함께 담당 프로젝트의 성공을 위해 한 팀으로 협업합니다.

경력에 상관없이, 게임 아트에 능숙하고 자신감을 가지신 분을 찾습니다.
유저의 관점에서 개성 있고 독창적인 아트를 고민하고, 제작할 수 있는 분을 찾습니다.
동시에 팀 내 추구하고자 하는 게임 아트 스타일에 대한 이해와 적용 능력을 가지신 분을 찾습니다.
Photoshop, Illustrator, Blender, Maya 등 그래픽 툴 사용이 능숙한 분을 찾습니다.

우대사항

언리얼, 유니티 등에 대한 기본적인 이해가 있으신 분이라면 더 좋습니다.
팀원들과 다양한 피드백을 나누며, 활발히 협업하실 수 있는 분이면 더 좋습니다.
제안과 설득 과정에 열려있으며, 동료들의 의견을 경청 및 조율할 수 있는 분이면 더 좋습니다.
아트가 주 업무 영역이지만, 평소에 게임 기획에 대해서도 관심이 있고 이를 논의하는 것에 관심있으신 분이라면 더 좋습니다.
