Job Description

Main purpose

  • As Head of Alliance and Partners - Japan, your duties will include but not be limited to leading Japan Alliance Partner Sales team, managing a tier 1 portfolio of strategic alliance partnerships, including delivery of the annual joint go-to-market plan, hitting the sales target by partner, maintaining a full portfolio of contacts across each partner from executive through to technical execution, and providing forecasts/pipeline updates on a regular basis.    
  • You will be required to contribute to a wide variety of in-field deliverables that could include public speaking, coordinating overseas visits for Japanese end-users, and providing input to the Japanese operational review board.  

Key Accountabilities:

  • Develop and implement Japan Partner Strategy in line w/Global Strategy.
  • Primary relationship owner for key partners (Accenture, Deloitte, NTTD, NTTCom, NEC, Fujitsu and local system integrators.)
  • Recruit, develop and maintain partner contacts (at all levels) for both sales and delivery.
  • Development and execution of the partner business plan, creating 50%+ company pipeline.
  • Develop an understanding of the markets the partners operate in, and each partner's own competitive strategy.
  • Ensure this knowledge is continually shared with team members and Blue Prism stakeholders.
  • Actively promote a program to develop increased commitment and Robotic Automation service delivery competency and capacity.
  • Work with Marketing to drive the maximum ROI from any partner marketing investment into demand generation campaigns and vertical market plans.
  • Work closely with the partner to help identification, development, forecasting and management of opportunities to achieve the partner's revenue goal.
  • Conduct sales presentations to and in conjunction with partners to our mutual clients until they achieve self-sufficiency.
  • Proactively drive awareness of the Blue Prism strategy and proposition at all levels across the partner.
  • Transition relationships to appropriate sales and support team members as appropriate.
  • Lead and develop Japan Partner Sales team.  Coach and develop staff.

Work Experience & Functional/Technical Skills:

  • Strong experience in a commercial Partner/Alliance/Channel sales environment with proven success.
  • Excellent understanding of complex solution sales cycle and a proven track record of successful solution selling.
  • Broad industry experience – Advisory Consulting, Alliances, channels.
  • Proven record and able to develop executive relationships.
  • Mixture of new business and account management.
  • Ability to find and create new opportunities from partners.
  • Ability to work in a high pressure, fast moving and challenging environment
  • Leading team and people management experience is strongly preferred.
  • Native level Japanese and business level English both written and verbally are mandatory.
  • Excellent communication skill to communicate w/customers/partners as well as stakeholders in Japan and overseas (HQ)
