The Role
is a global visual effects company with over 32 years of experience and a reputation for delivering complex, photorealistic effects that enhance storytelling. Known for its expertise in virtual production and innovative technology, Scanline has contributed to major projects across various genres, solidifying its status as an industry leader. In 2021, Netflix acquired Scanline VFX and started expanding its Korea operation under a newly named to strengthen its visual effects capabilities and further elevate the quality of its content.
As part of this exciting integration, Eyeline Studios Korea is seeking an HR Business Partner to partner with and support the Seoul-based business groups and employees. This role offers an opportunity to engage with a talented team and influence strategic HR initiatives that align with Global Scanline Business. With plans for significant growth in the Seoul office—from 150+ employees to a forecasted 300—the ideal candidate will play a key role in shaping the HR landscape, supporting both tactical and strategic initiatives, and integrating Netflix norms such as talent workflows, compensation cycles, and performance evaluations.
What you will do:
Eyeline Studio Korea HR Business Partner will be fully responsible for Eyeline Studios Korea in the company as an HR advisor to bring customized talent solutions to the business
Embrace a proactive approach, showing a willingness to engage directly with employees at all levels to understand the needs of our diverse employee population and the fast-growing organization.
Contribute and execute the implementation of company-wide talent programs and initiatives (360s, compensation reviews, leadership development, etc)
Work in collaboration with our Global Business Practices (GBPs) (Talent Acquisition, Inclusion and Diversity, Talent Management, and Talent Employee Operations) to ensure a consistent and cohesive employee experience.
Orchestrate talent strategies and operational workflow, serving as a bridge between Netflix and Eyeline Studios, with an understanding of Netflix culture and historical context.
Lead employee relations matters, providing guidance and support to managers and employees.
Ensure accuracy of org data in Workday, facilitating seamless reporting and analysis
Effectively integrate inclusion and diversity practices into all aspects of the organization
Display the ability to think big, in line with Netflix's culture of innovation, yet not be afraid to "roll up your sleeves" and tackle ground-level work
Guide and support comprehensive projects related to organizational change and transition, while coordinating with various business stakeholders and Talent Partners across Eeyeline and Netflix.
What we are looking for:
A minimum of 10 years of progressive human resources experience experience is required, with a background as an HR Business Partner
Strategic thinking and mindset for establishing a Talent support model that aligns with business needs
Effective communication and influencing skills capable of partnering with stakeholders at every level
Understanding of local laws and regulations striking balance with Netflix's values and approach
Ability to interface at all levels of the organization, including executive levels, demonstrating excellent organizational and interpersonal skills in line with Netflix's culture
Strong business and HR acumen, including strong problem-solving skills, high judgment, critical thinking and analysis
Experience working in a highly matrixed organization, creative/production environments a plus
Project management and execution skills
Proven skills in coaching and consulting to support talent development and organizational growth
Excellent spoken and written Korean and English, with the ability to communicate and influence stakeholders at all levels
