REGENT is building the seaglider; the first electric flying machine that will transport commercial passengers.  With a vehicle that never flies higher than a few meters off the water, we unlock the ability to fly twice as far as an electric aircraft, and certification by maritime authorities which will let us fly first passengers by mid-decade.
 
We are actively hiring passionate interns who can help us get our vehicle to market as quickly and safely as possible. We are backed by the world’s best investors: the same investors who are behind SpaceX, Palantir, Boom Supersonic, and more. We have over $9B in provisional orders from some of the industry’s largest operators and are hitting the ground running.

REGENT is seeking a Human Factors Engineering Intern to support the design and evaluation of human interfaces for seaglider systems.

Roles & Responsibilities:

    • Creating new feature concepts for seaglider human interface 
    • Building out REGENT UI/UX standards and design language 
    • Conducting safety and usability evaluations of seaglider human interface 
    • Identifying human factors requirements and creating test procedures 

Required Skills & Qualifications:

    • Pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in Human Factors Engineering, Engineering Psychology,or related fields 
    • Proficiency with use of common rapid prototyping tools (Figma, etc...)  
    • Research or Coursework in Aviation/Maritime Human Factors, or;  
    • Flying, Boating, or Sailing experience 
    • Excellent verbal and written communication, including technical documentation 
    • Self-motivated and enthusiastic about solving problems 
    • Adaptable and flexible with moving deadlines and tasking
