We also help merchants connect with their customers, process exchanges and returns, and manage risk. We enable consumers to engage in cross-border shopping and merchants to extend their global reach while reducing the complexity and friction involved in enabling cross-border trade.

Job Description Summary:

1 What you need to know about the role
* Security service developer and owner role, resides in CIS (Cyber and Information Security) organization.
* You will build out scalable security services, seamless experiences which fit PayPal China’s needs(within/outside of security team) on top of the existing security tools which mostly are commercial.

2 Meet our team
* PayPal China’s CIS (Cyber and Information Security) team is the 1st line of defense of company. Responsible for protection of company cyber and information assets, including but not limit to IAM, AppSec, NodeSec, NetSec, DataSec, Encryption, incident response, Threat Hunting, Pentest…

Job Description:

1. Your way to impact

• You will build out scalable security services, seamless experiences which fit PayPal China’s needs(within/outside of security team) on top of the existing security tools which mostly are commercial
• You will partner closely with our business teams, and Tech teams(IaaS, PaaS, CorpIT , SRE, Data…)and cross-functional experts responsible for building services with great balance btw user experience and security control effectiveness.

2. Your day-to-day

• You will analysis the PRD from security team, work with sec managers to priorities and develop.

• Select the best tech. stack for in-house built security tools

• Optimize the security tools according feedbacks from users and maintenance owners.

• Draw the desired future map for security services and achieve it with milestones hit in time

• Coach the junior developer in security team

• Maintain thorough knowledge of security strategy and priorities, bring industry trends and best practices to enable our security objectives and goal.

3. What do you need to bring

• BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
•   Proven track record on creating and operating security related services.
• Excellent programming skills, in-depth understanding and practical experience in high concurrency and high availability system design and optimization.
•   Familiar with microservice architecture development and system design
•   Familiar with software application security technology and data security technology, also have some understanding of encryption technology host security, network security and physical security would be a plus.
•   Familiar with at least one programming language like Java, Go; additionally familiar with some commonly used scripting languages, such as: Python, Shell, etc. would be a plus.
