The role requires strong leadership, experience in product management best practices, and expertise in user experience design and research. The Product Manager will advise on the firm’s most important proprietary software products, ensuring maximum business value through direct oversight of KPIs and alignment to business and client needs. This includes engaging with clients directly to gather feedback and ensure the delivery of high-quality, sustainable solutions. Additional responsibilities involve maturing the Product Management function, implementing best practices, fostering a culture of innovation, and collaborating with international PwC member firms.

The Product Manager is responsible for driving and maturing enterprise-wide products, ensuring alignment with PwC's overall business strategy and goals. This responsibility extends to reinforcing the value product management brings to business units and markets, leading product management delivery by example, enhancing team operations, implementing best practices, and nurturing a culture of creativity and innovation.

In this role, the Product Manager will advise on the firm’s most important proprietary (custom built) software products. You will work to ensure that the firm’s software products and their features deliver maximum business value through direct and tactical oversight of each of your individual product’s KPIs, commercial and usage targets, and alignment to business and client needs, as well as the establishment of product visions, roadmaps, and practices as you lead cross-functional teams to drive initiatives along each product’s lifecycle. Furthermore, you will foster strong relationships with key stakeholders ensuring alignment with business goals.

It is expected that you are experienced, comfortable, and effective at delivering product management best practices as well as working cross-functionally with other Products & Technology Leaders, PwC Partners, teammates, and external vendors to prioritize work against business needs (e.g. marketing, commercialization, compliance, security). This also includes engaging with PwC clients directly to test and validate solution ideas, solicit product feedback, and evaluate satisfaction, ultimately to ensure the team delivers functionally strong, viable, highly usable, sustainable solutions that deliver measurable value.

Meaningful work you’ll be part of 

As a Product Manager, you’ll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Mature our Product Management function within Products & Technology and across a matrixed organization like PwC. Identify and implement methods, workflows, systems, tools and templates to enable a successful team of talented and ambitious product managers 

  • Ensure the success of all products in your Portfolio by developing and meeting success criteria and performance KPIs, and make the appropriate decisions to maximize the business value created from the overall portfolio investment 

  • Be accountable for a portfolio of enterprise-grade software and realize commercialization and adoption targets. Rationalize and case-make for investment  

  • Research and implement best practices and foster a culture of continuous improvement within the team. This includes recommending and testing new ways of working (behaviors, processes, and tools) to enable collaboration and visibility between Product Managers, Experience Designers, Project Managers, Engineers, and adjacent functional groups, and the rest of the firm    

  • Standardize our craft so that we can deliver quality consistently. This includes sustained adoption of templates and tools for software design, delivery, and measurement  

  • Connect with international PwC member firms to share and/or receive leading practices and lessons learned from Product & Technology groups  

  • Contribute to a culture of developing yourself and others by supporting the professional development of the product management team. Evolve the Product Manager performance framework which aligns to the PwC Professional and our PwC Values   Sponsor team-led programs, projects, or initiatives that enhance our ways of working, our sense of community, and our diversity and inclusivity  

  • Support Development of the Product Management Team particularly in broadening the team’s skills and capabilities   

  • Procure and deploy learning and development programs to support innovation, embrace Human-centered Design, and inspire our teams 

  • Engagement with our Alliance Partners at events to amplify brand awareness for our firm and our function 

Experiences and skills you’ll use to solve 

  • Previous experience working in a product, professional services, consulting, or IT portfolio management capacity 

  • Educational experience in Design, Business, Computer and Information Science, Engineering 

  • Certification in Design Thinking, AgilePM, SAFe, Scrum, PMI-ACP is preferred 

  • Managed the entire product lifecycle, from concept to delivery, ensuring alignment with business objectives and customer needs 

  • Worked closely with sales, compliance, data privacy and security, engineering, data science, design, and marketing teams to prioritize features, manage dependencies, and deliver high-quality products on time and within budget 

  • Reviewing and evaluating competitor analyses for proposed product ideas, driving appropriate segmentation approaches and developing preliminary business cases which are refined and evolved as more information emerges through user research and testing 

  • Demonstrate a track record of excellence in various aspects of user experience design and research, including generative and evaluative research methodologies, persona development, and crafting future state service blueprints and journey maps 

  • Proficiency in developing user stories, prototypes, and information architecture knowledge is essential. Showcase expertise in customer and product research methodologies, such as A/B testing, and demonstrate competence in both qualitative and quantitative data gathering and analysis techniques
