Job Description
This role is a Production & Logistics Manager position based in Ghent, Belgium. The successful candidate will be responsible for the daily management of the entire production process, including logistics and warehousing. Key responsibilities include ensuring efficient, safe, and sustainable production, maintaining quality standards, implementing process improvements, monitoring KPIs, leading and motivating a team, and collaborating with other departments (Quality Control, Safety, Maintenance, Supply Chain, and HR). The ideal candidate will possess a degree in Chemical Engineering, several years of relevant management experience in a production environment, strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills, and fluency in Dutch and English.

Functie
Production Manager – regio Gent – Internationaal bedrijf
· Als Production Manager ben je verantwoordelijk voor de dagelijkse leiding van het volledige productieproces binnen het bedrijf. Daarnaast vallen logistiek en warehousing ook onder jouw verantwoordelijkheden.
· Safety management: Veiligheid is jou prioriteit en je werkt continue mee aan een sterke veiligheidscultuur.
- Procesverbetering en optimalisatie: Je coördineert voorstellen gericht op verbetering van productieprocessen, proces veiligheid, energie-efficiëntie en kostenreductie.
- KPI’s en Strategie: Je zorgt voor een adequate KPI opvolging die sturend werkt richting de strategische doelen. Jouw analyses en rapportages vormen de basis voor het behalen van veiligheids-, productie-, kwaliteits-, en rendementsdoelen.
· Peoplemanagement: Je stuurt een gedreven Team aan waar je op kan bouwen. Je zorgt ervoor dat iedereen goed op elkaar is ingespeeld en altijd de beste resultaten behaalt. Dankzij jouw aanpak voelen mensen zich gesteund en gestimuleerd om elke dag weer het beste uit zichzelf te halen
· Communicatie en samenwerking: Je inspireert, coacht en je overlegt regelmatig met de medewerkers van Quality Control, Safety, Maintenance, Supply Chain en HR zodate een vlotte operationele flow gegarandeerd blijft.
· Je rapporteert aan de Operations Manager.
Profiel
Production Manager – regio Gent – Internationaal bedrijf
· Je behaalde een diploma Ingenieur Chemie
· Je kan beroep doen op enkele jaren relevante leidinggevende ervaring binnen een prroductie omgeving.
· Je bent hands-on en bent communicatief sterk.
· Je houdt van leidinggeven en je kan medewerkers motiveren om het beste van zichzelf te geven. Je stuurt aan met een coachende en resultaatgerichte aanpak, waarbij je zowel individuen als teams inspireert.
· Je hebt een analytische geest en een sterk organisatorisch vermogen
· Stressbestendigheid en het vermogen om snel te schakelen, met behoud van kwaliteitsbewustzijn en verantwoordelijkheidsgevoel.
· Je spreekt vloeiend Nederlands en Engels.
