Job Description

The Quality Assurance Specialist II will build, maintain, and enhance the automation framework, design test strategies, document test plans and cases, and ensure product quality for the Training and Development Manager product. Responsibilities include defining test case strategies, designing test cases for functionality, data integrity, and usability, preparing test data, troubleshooting issues, and contributing to SCRUM deliverables. The role requires strong automation experience, familiarity with SaaS architecture, and Agile methodology. The ideal candidate will have experience with automation frameworks, source code management tools (preferably Git), and programming/scripting languages like Java or Python.
Must have:
  • 3-5 years QA Automation experience
  • Web-based & mobile testing in SaaS
  • Automation frameworks & tools expertise
  • Source Code Management (Git)
  • Agile Methodology & task prioritization
  • Fluency in English (B2 level or above)
Good to have:
  • Code coverage analysis
  • Static code analysis
  • Java or Python programming skills

This role focuses on the Training and Development Manager, a product that enables institutions to manage course catalogs, course registration and learner dashboards to enable a high-quality experience for students. We’re looking for QA engineers to join our team that empowers schools and students to have a more engaged and fulfilling experience within higher education institutions. You will be working with a cross-functional team that participates in the full lifecycle of product development from discovery to development to deployment. We thrive in curiosity and in experimenting with new techniques and are looking for someone who is motivated by delivering value.
 
Anthology is seeking a skilled and experienced team member responsible for building, maintaining, and enhancing our automation framework; designing test strategy; documenting test plans and test cases; testing subsystems and system components based on requirements specification and constraints; and ensuring product quality and coverage.
 
Primary responsibilities will include:
  • Defining test case strategy and test plans for functional and technical requirements
  • Designing and developing test cases to verify functionality, data integrity, security, and overall usability of the solution covering all Use Case Scenarios
  • Test data preparation, test case review and modification
  • Demonstrating an understanding of Agile Methodology and task prioritization
  • Becoming an active contributor in SCRUM and team deliverables
  • Troubleshooting and working towards resolution of reported issues and mapping it to test repository
  • Owning quality deliverables adhering to acceptance criteria and definition of Done
  • Owning quality test cases following standards and best practices, considering efficiency, reusability, and optimization
 
The Candidate:
Required skills/qualifications:
  • Fluency in spoken and written English at CEF B2 level or above
  • 3-5 years of experience in Quality Automation
  • Exposure to testing web-based software applications in a SaaS architecture and on mobile devices
  • Strong experience with automation frameworks and automated testing tools
  • Experience working with Source Code Management tools (preferably Git)
  • Any experience analyzing code coverage of automated tests and static code analysis
  • Basic knowledge of programming or scripting languages such as Java or Python
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
