Summary

This is a full-time Recording Engineer position located in Minato-ku, Tokyo, Japan. Responsibilities include studio engineering tasks such as recording, post-production, voice recording and editing, mixing and mastering cutscenes or promotional videos, and other game-related engineering tasks. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience as a recording engineer, proficiency in ProTools, and knowledge of various studio equipment. Experience with other DAWs, multi-channel mixing/mastering, and immersive audio technologies are highly desirable. The role offers a discretionary labor system with standard work hours starting at 10:00 AM, various benefits including insurance, transportation expenses, and telework availability. Duties

  • Studio engineering tasks such as recording, post-production, etc.
  • Voice recording and editing, mixing and mastering cutscenes or promotional videos, and other engineer tasks related to the game title

Requirements

  • 3 years of more of previous work experience as a recording engineer, including voice recording, instrument recording, etc. or advanced knowledge and previous work experience in post-production engineering.
  • Previous work experience using ProTools and knowledge of various studio equipment

Highly Desirable Experience (not mandatory)

  • Extensive knowledge of plug-in software besides ProTools, such as DAW
  • Experience in directing various recordings
  • Knowledge and experience in multi-channel mixing, mastering
  • Knowledge of publication or licensing in relation to sound
  • Proficiency in a language(s) other than Japanese
  • Knowledge and experience in producing new technology such as immersive audio
