Job Description

This Sales Manager position at Google focuses on engaging with small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) in the Mexican market. Responsibilities include recruiting, training, and motivating a sales team to meet business goals, analyzing client performance data to develop strategic plans, coaching sales techniques (including C-level engagement), ensuring team readiness for complex advertising solutions, and fostering a culture of sales innovation. The ideal candidate possesses strong leadership skills, business acumen, fluency in English and Spanish, and experience in digital campaign management (Google Ads preferred). The role involves building and maintaining relationships with clients, understanding their business needs, and developing advertising strategies to expand their reach and growth.
Must have:
  • 11+ years business experience (advertising, marketing, etc.)
  • Team leadership & business development experience
  • Fluency in English and Spanish
  • Data analysis and strategic planning skills
  • Client relationship building and C-level engagement
  • Coaching and mentoring sales teams
Good to have:
  • 3 years people management experience
  • Experience with C-level stakeholders in advertising/marketing
  • Google Ads or similar digital campaign experience

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 11 years of business experience in advertising, marketing, consulting, media, business development, or advertising agencies.
  • Experience leading a business team or developing business professionals.
  • Experience building a book of business.
  • Ability to communicate in English and Spanish fluently to engage with regional stakeholders.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 3 years of people management experience.
  • Experience in building relationships with internal and external C-level stakeholders in an advertising or marketing context.
  • Experience coaching digital campaign management in Google Ads or engaging products.
  • Ability to grow in a rapidly changing environment, with effective communication, problem-solving and investigative skills.

Responsibilities

  • Recruit, retain, motivate and develop a client-facing and high-performing sales team.
  • Deliver against business and product goals, and grow engagement and client satisfaction for a portfolio of small and medium businesses in the Mexican market.
  • Analyze data, trends, and client performance with your teams to develop strategic plans for customers, while tracking activity and providing detailed data analysis weekly, driving consistent tracking.
  • Model and coach sales behavior including C-level engagement, effective questioning, objection handling, and promotion.
  • Ensure team readiness to deliver complex advertising solutions and create a culture of sales innovation and advertiser success on the team.
