It’s a really exciting time to be at Space Ape Games. We’ve created a fast-paced environment that promotes genuine autonomy and we have projects at all stages of the development cycle. We launched our hit music game, Beatstar, in 2021 and we’re following its success with Countrystar less than two years later. We also officially launched our first puzzle game last year, Chrome Valley Customs, and we’re preparing to scale this game to global success. On top of all this, we’re running several mature live games and working on some exciting new projects behind the scenes!

We seek a passionate, talented, creative producer to help with all aspects of art production and development. Working across a wide portfolio of new, in-development and live titles, you will be responsible for content pipelines, schedules and building key relationships with external partners. Alongside the Studio Art Director, you will be crucial in maintaining a healthy art culture and artists' personal development, growth and well-being. 

Responsibilities

  • The building and maintaining of art production pipelines, both internally and with our external teams
  • To find new art production partners, coordinate with existing collaborators and take on prominent aspects of partner management from contract negotiations
  • Facilitate the art production schedules - partnering with art, product and marketing teams to define the scope and verify all asset requests are scheduled
  • Provide transparency on art production status and communicate frequently with the rest of the production team/leads on asset status, risks, and problem-solving opportunities
  • Schedule team meetings and run art reviews (as well as in-game content reviews) while providing actionable notes and follow-up info to attendees
  • Provide mentorship of artists, helping set goals and providing feedback
  • Motivate and provide support to the art team, contributing to a positive environment and culture through organising training, events and the improvement of existing rituals
  • Facilitate communication, organisation, processes and pipelines across art disciplines

Requirements

  • 3+ years as a producer, project management or equivalent experience
  • Experience in supervising production pipelines
  • Solid understanding of creative pipelines, approval processes, and dependency chains.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Self-starter - Someone who can approach challenges creatively and see things through to their final resolution
  • Ability to build, track, and maintain feature and content schedules
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Familiar with Scrum, Kanban, and Waterfall project management methodologies
  • Be able to give feedback internally and externally in a professional manner
