Impact

As a Senior Data Scientist II working on the multi-sided marketplace team you will be responsible for data science aspects of bundling, coverage and simulations at Shipt. You will explore, validate and test data science best practices and new methodologies to increase rigor of data, statistical analysis, experimentation and modeling to empower data-driven decision making at Shipt. 
While no day will look the same, you will work on a variety of projects in mainly the coverage, simulations space and contribute to bundling as needed. You will lead simulation initiatives and develop simulation methods to evaluate impact, lead productionalizing POC models and experimentation designs as well as build analytical tools.

• 4+ years of experience with statistical inference, experimentation, and predictive modeling in an operational setting.

• Master’s degree (economics, econometrics, statistics, computer science, other quantitative fields).

• Experience with causal inference and uplift modeling.

• Strong machine learning modeling (supervised learning) knowledge. Bonus: prior big data tools such as Spark.

• Strong SQL skills (Spark, Snowflake, Postgres, Hive, Redshift, etc)

• Coding experience in R or Python

• Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic, team-based environment and communicate results to diverse stakeholders.

Work Arrangement

Shipt considers candidates located near a Shipt office or workspace in Birmingham, San Francisco, or Minneapolis to be hybrid, which means that they have the flexibility to work from home (with leader approval) or at a Shipt office in order to facilitate the ability to innovate, collaborate, and spark team connections. In-office expectations will vary by role and leader.  Certain roles may require in-office presence on a full-time basis. $121,487-$242,974

All other locations:

$101,239-$202,478
