Senior DevOps Engineer

Job responsibilities:

• Troubleshooting, Installation, maintenance, and tuning of Linux / Unix Systems.
• Prepares installs and implement Linux / UNIX operating software and associated components.
• Design & implement VM-based application containerization and management
• Implementing and managing infrastructure as code.
• Designing, implementing, and maintaining automation processes.
• Performance troubleshooting and capacity planning.
• Working with and overseeing TCP/IP model, LAMP stack tuning, scaling, and maintenance
• Develop and maintain backup and disaster recovery capability for Linux environments, ensuring data integrity and business continuity in the event of system failures.
• Contributing member of uptime and on-call response time SLAs.

Requirements:

• 6+ years' experience in automation & infrastructure management.
• Experience with containerization and container orchestration technology, such as Kubernetes/Docker/Swarm/ECS.
• Extensive experience with automation frameworks and tools (Terraform, Ansible, or transferrable experience with Chef, Puppet, etc) for configuration management and infrastructure as code.
• Proficiency with any of the scripting languages bash/python/go etc..
• Experience in migrating VM-based applications to containers (VMware experience is a plus)
• Familiarity with observability systems like NewRelic, Splunk, Datadog, Grafana etc…
• Solid understanding of networking concepts, protocols, and security best practices.
• Solid experience in automating development, delivery and deployment workflows, and process improvement
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to rapidly identify and resolve complex technical issues.
• Able to work as an individual contributor.
• Any knowledge on Databases is a plus.
