Job Description

The Senior Field Sales Representative, Retail, Google Cloud (Japanese) role focuses on driving Google Cloud Platform (GCP) adoption within the Japanese retail sector. Responsibilities include building executive relationships with enterprise customers, negotiating and managing sales cycles, guiding account strategy, and collaborating with Customer Engineers and Google Partners. The ideal candidate possesses at least 10 years of B2B software sales experience, specifically in cloud solutions within the retail industry, and fluent Japanese communication skills. They will be responsible for understanding customer technology footprints, growth plans, and business needs to generate opportunities and achieve sales goals. This role requires strong presentation skills to C-level executives, and experience with commercial and legal agreement processes.

Job Details


Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience in technology business or business development at a business-to-business (B2B) software company.
  • Experience in developing Cloud or Information Technology (IT) solutions.
  • Ability to communicate in Japanese fluently as this is a customer-facing role that requires interactions in Japanese with local stakeholders.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience promoting infrastructure software, databases, investigative tools, or applications software in the retail industry.
  • Experience in working on commercial and legal agreements with Procurement, Legal, and Business teams.
  • Experience in managing partners in implementation projects, including global system integrators and packaged software vendors.

Responsibilities

  • Build executive relationships with enterprise customers, influence direction, and serve as a business partner.
  • Negotiate and manage entire cycles, presenting to C-level executives in corporate and global customers.
  • Guide account strategy in generating and developing business growth opportunities, work with Customer Engineers, and Google Partners, creating new opportunities.
  • Understand each customer’s technology footprint, growth plans, business motivators, technology strategy, and engaged landscape.
  • Motivate business development, forecast, and achieve goals by leading customers through the entire business cycle.
