About the job:
As a Silicon Hardware Software Codesign Engineer, you'll contribute to the innovation behind Google's TPU, shaping the future of AI/ML hardware acceleration. You'll work on cutting-edge TPU technology powering demanding AI/ML applications, collaborating with a diverse team to develop custom silicon solutions. You'll leverage your design and verification expertise to verify complex digital designs, focusing on TPU architecture and its integration within AI/ML-driven systems. You'll understand interactions between hardware components, drive architecture definition, identify issues, and drive resolution. You'll design hardware that is easily debuggable throughout the product development cycle.
Must have:
  • Bachelor's degree in related field
  • 5 years of chip and software design/development experience
  • Experience with hardware/software interaction
  • Understanding of CPU, accelerators, and standard hardware blocks
Good to have:
  • Master's or PhD degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering
  • Experience with HBM (high bandwidth memory)
  • Experience coding in C++ and Python

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience with chip and software design and development experience.
  • Experience with interaction types between hardware and software for different types of standard hardware blocks, CPU, accelerators, etc.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's or PhD degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience with HBM (high bandwidth memory).
  • Experience coding in C++ and Python.
