Job Description

As part of the Platform team, the Software Developer will contribute to BarracudaONE, a cloud platform that unifies the customer experience across Barracuda’s security products. The role involves collaborating with experienced teammates on customer-facing features, gaining experience with cloud technologies and Agile development practices. Responsibilities include designing, building, and maintaining code, developing features, investigating bugs, and collaborating on system design and unit testing. The developer will also help improve test coverage and code maintainability, and deliver incrementally in alignment with Agile principles.
Must have:

  • Familiarity with OOP and proficiency in an OOP language.

From purchasing and activation to risk monitoring and product navigation, BarracudaONE helps organizations manage their security posture through a single, streamlined interface.
 
This opportunity is well-suited to someone early in their software development career who’s eager to grow. You’ll collaborate closely with experienced teammates—including product managers, UX designers, and fellow developers—on customer-facing features like onboarding workflows, security dashboards, and cross-product navigation. Along the way, you’ll gain hands-on experience with cloud technologies, microservices, and modern Agile development practices, including opportunities to help shape our approach to test automation and software quality.

Tech Stack Exposure:
  • C#, React (TypeScript)
  • GraphQL, gRPC, and REST APIs
  • GitOps with GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform
  • AWS services including MSK, Lambda, EKS, DocumentDB, and RDS
  • Test automation frameworks and tooling (we’re always improving in this space!)
What you’ll be working on:
  • Design, build, and maintain efficient, reliable, and reusable code
  • Develop and refine features with a focus on quality, responsiveness, and performance
  • Investigate bugs and bottlenecks, and contribute to solutions
  • Collaborate on system design and unit testing
  • Help improve test coverage and code maintainability
  • Deliver incrementally in alignment with Agile principles and sprint goals
What you bring to the role:
  • Clear, professional communication—both verbal and written
  • A knack for writing clean, readable code
  • Familiarity with object-oriented programming and proficiency in at least one OOP language
  • Basic Git knowledge and an understanding of trunk-based development workflows
  • Curiosity, initiative, and a learning mindset
  • Motivation to demo your work and collaborate regularly
