Description

AVER is a fast-growing SDVOSB that has achieved significant revenue growth over the past 5 plus years with much of our work focused on Data Analytics, Mission Support, IT Modernization and Biometrics. AVER is seeking a motivated Junior SQL Analyst/Developer to support business intelligence, data analytics and reporting on a newly awarded contract in Hanover, MD. Utilize internal and external data to produce reports. Expertise in specification development, coding, quality checking, validating, analyzing, and visualizing data that drives results, encourages strategic decision making, improves quality outcomes, and provides answers to population health questions. Responsibilities Include:

Program and write queries and reports using SQL code in an Oracle environment
Establish knowledge of data warehouse database design, data definitions, system capabilities, and data integrity issues
Development standardized reporting using the data warehouse, in addition to ad hoc reports
Ensure production reports are accurate and delivered in a timely manner
Provide timely response and resolution of emergency production questions, issues, and defects
Provide analytical services for business data needs and makes recommendations for viable solutions
Address data integrity issues as they arise
Communicate effectively with customers to elicit, capture, develop, and implement customer requirements
Display a positive, constructive, and helpful demeanor to assist team members and offer suggestions that improve processes, culture or working environment
Execute special projects and assigned and required duties

Education Requirements:

Requires a Bachelor’s degree in a data or IT related field

Experience Requirements:

1+ year of experience with SQL is required to write complex code and scripts
Experience with writing SQL queries, scripts, procedures, and functions
Knowledge of Power BI for the development of standard reports and legacy report building

Desired Requirements:

Experience in Healthcare Domain strongly preferred
Knowledge of SAP Webi for ad-hoc reporting and report creation
Knowledge of Crystal Reports

Location:

HYBRID (On site one day a week in Hanover, Maryland)
