Sr. Concept Artist

Steer Studios mission is to create a world-leading game studios in Saudi Arabia, creating high-quality games for international audiences. Also to help Saudi’s passionate gaming sector to develop homegrown IP and more broadly, make KSA a global hub for gaming. As part of the Steer team, you will work alongside the best global gaming talents who have relocated to Riyadh to be part of the ambitious group, and innovative, passionate and hardworking Saudis.

Steer Studios is looking for a Senior Concept Artist who has been a primary contributor to the art concept, design, and asset creation for hybrid-casual games. You will work closely with our Unity game developers and game artists.

Key Responsibilities:

·       Provide and analyze art references for games and features, create sketches and mock-ups with their iterations.

·       Create and adapt 2D game assets and user interface elements.

·       Work directly with the Lead Artist to help drive the Game's visual identity.

·       Lead the 2D Art development process, from initial sketches to final turnaround.

·       Provide clear, constructive feedback and guidance to Junior Artists to maintain and elevate the quality of the concepts.

·       Collaborate with the development team to ensure the concepts are feasible and aligned with the game design and mechanics.

·       Manage concept art workflows to meet production timelines and milestones.

·       Develop and maintain relationships with the team, ensuring a productive and positive working environment.

Qualifications and Key Skills:

·       Proven experience as a Concept Artist with a strong portfolio showcasing a wide range of styles and projects.

·       Photoshop, Illustrator have no secrets for you and you can conceptualize and create any 2D asset and user interface.

·       Must be a clear and concise communicator, able to deliver creative feedback and clear actionable guidance to the team.

·       Strong understanding of composition, color theory, and visual storytelling.

·       Passion for mobile games and a drive to create visually appealing content.

·       Consistently push boundaries, strive to enhance the art, and embrace new technologies.

·       Love the mobile games market and understand the importance of data to make decisions.

·       Knowledge of 3D workflows is definitely a plus, able to facilitate the transition from 2D turnaround to 3D model.
