The Executive Assistant will provide high-level administrative support to the President of the Yahoo Media Group and other NY-based executives. Responsibilities include managing schedules and prioritizing calendars, coordinating meetings and travel arrangements, handling confidential information, initiating purchase orders, tracking budgets, and preparing expense reports. The role also involves organizing events, and collaborating with C-level executives and other departments. The candidate must be a proactive problem solver with exceptional communication skills and strong organizational abilities to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Must have:
  • 5+ years of executive administration experience.
  • Proficiency in Slack, Microsoft Office, and Google Suite.
  • Ability to take initiative and exercise sound judgment.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highest level of professionalism and integrity.

The Executive Assistant will provide support and report directly to the President, Yahoo Media Group while also supporting other NY-based executives.  The Executive Assistant will provide high-level administrative support with strong organizational skills, be a proactive problem solver with exceptional communication skills, and have the ability to handle sensitive information.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide first-class administrative and project management support to the NY-based executives

  • Handle and maintain highly confidential and sensitive information

  • Schedule, manage, and prioritize dynamic calendar, while keeping executive time highly accessible and flexible

  • Coordinate complex virtual meetings, international and domestic travel, accommodations and logistics

  • Initiate purchase orders, reconcile invoices, track budgets, and complete expense reports

  • Organize events and meetings, videoconferences, and conference calls

  • Interface and collaborate daily with C-level executives, Business Operations, and other Executive Assistants across the company virtually, locally and internationally

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Located in NYC area

  • 5+ years of high-level, complex executive administration work experience at the VP or C-level

  • Power user of Slack, Microsoft Office and Google Suite

  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative, anticipate the needs of executives and their teams, and exercise independent, sound judgment

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, matrixed environment and execute against multiple projects and deadlines

  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills

  • Highest level of professionalism and integrity

  • An authentic belief in Yahoo's vision, value proposition, and growth potential

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

  • Due to the global nature of our business, ability to respond to emails and calls outside standard business hours; possess global awareness, time zone sensitivity, culture, logistics

  • Demonstrated passion for continuous learning, improvement, and sharing best practices

  • Startup, tech or media industry experience a plus

The compensation for this position ranges from $65,625.00 - $136,875.00/yr and will vary depending on factors such as your location, skills and experience.The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of discretionary annual bonus or commissions.
