The Strategic Systems Engineer, Channels provides technical subject matter expertise in support of defined Strategic Partners.
         They are responsible for developing and maintaining the technical competency of their Partner base through training, demos, presentations, and consultation.
         Must be a self-starter with a business minded approach to enabling the partner.
         They must be able to convey the benefits and details of Extreme's offerings to Partners in such a way that each Partner can successfully sell on their own.
         Additionally, the Channel SSE will provide account support for customer opportunities being driven by the Partner.
         Channel SEs should possess strong skills in: conveying complex concepts, presenting, consultative selling, and network design.
         They should also demonstrate: willingness to learn, independent drive, resourcefulness, collaboration, and flexibility.
3-5 Key Responsibilities (What does a day in the life look like?)
         Partner with Strategic Alliance team colleagues to create and execute strategy to grow funnel and revenue with key named SPs
         Leverage their technical expertise and relationships to personally positively impact team goals and objectives
         Embrace the need for creativity and aggressive, out of the box solutions/strategies to gain interest and grow business from named VSPs and SSPs (Vertical SPs and Specialized SPs)
         Effectively communicate with VSP/SSPs on training, partner led designs/BoMs, and regular updates on latest and greatest from EXTR
         Internal SME engagement to maintain skillset

         Partner growth, enablement and Pipeline creation
         Meet or exceed AOP
What will this role not be responsible for?
         This role does not require you to conduct certification trainings, customer post- sales support duties or other duties of the assigned Partner SE is to conduct.  This role focuses primarily on partner enablement.
