Summary
A Test Director (TD) shall provide Operational Military Multi-Engine Fixed-Wing or Rotary Wing experience for the design, development, production, test, and sell-off of simulation training devices. A Test Director builds, leads, and executes system test plans to evaluate project requirements have been verified and validated prior to customer acceptance.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Act as Test Director for Rotary wing projects
Act as Project Pilot and Subject Matter Expert (SME)
Establish and develop training for departmental pilots
Support of R&D activities
Plan for and participate in meetings and reviews as subject matter expert for assigned programs. Meetings and reviews may include:
Project Team Meetings
Support of Internal Program Reviews
Customer Reviews (Author, coordinate, and lead presentations of formal reviews with customers as required by assigned project)
Participate in new business efforts, acting as SME when called upon. Duties associated with new business include:
Training Task Analysis
Training Media Analysis
Technical Specification reviews
Responses to Request for Proposal (RFP)
Provide support for Program Managers as required.
Must be able to lead all test activities.
Command a clear understanding of all requirements for assigned projects.
Support to marketing for prospective projects
Operational input during the proposal stage for projects
Qualifications and Education Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree and/or equivalent experience in military aviation or simulation engineering required
Minimum of 6 years operational military aviation experience.
Instructor Pilot or Maintenance Test/FCF Pilot desirable
Army CH47F experience highly desired
Must possess or be eligible for DoD Personal Security Clearance
Preferred Skills
Must be able to apply aviation/technical knowledge to troubleshoot simulated or actual aircraft systems during device testing and development.
Commercial Rotary wing and Instrument licenses preferred.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required. All communications must be in English.
Analytical/technical skill required.
Ability to isolate and troubleshoot faults
Incumbent should be familiar with and be able to operate simulation training devices
Incumbent should have excellent communication and leadership qualities in order to support Engineering, Customers, or Operations Staff
Security Responsibilities
Must comply with all company security and data protection / usage policies and procedures. Personally responsible for proper marking and handling of all information and materials, in any form. Shall not divulge any information, or afford access, to other employees not having a need-to-know. Shall not divulge information outside company without management approval. All government and proprietary information will be accessed and stored electronically on company provided resources.
Due to U.S. Government contract requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for this role.
Work Environment
Will be required to sit down for long lengths of time.
Must be able to climb stairs to enter and exit a simulator
Must be able to travel in CONUS and to OCONUS sites for extended periods to support project work
Routine travel required supporting site modifications and installs (up to 50%)
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
Moderate levels of work stress associated with technical, schedule, and customer issues are to be expected with this position.
Extended work hours and occasional 2nd or 3rd shift assignments can be encountered.
