Tournament Operations Internship (World of Tanks)

Location: Prague, Czech Republic 

Duration: 6 months; starting May  

Format: On-Site  

Terms: Paid internship; 20 hours per week (may include weekend work for supporting events) 

Eligibility: Candidates should be eligible to work in the Czech Republic (EU nationals and individuals holding a valid work/study visa).

Overview 

Join the Competitive team of World of Tanks in Prague and get an extraordinary opportunity to be part of a well-known gaming company. Under the guidance of experienced mentors, you will not only acquire knowledge on event and tournament management but get hands-on experience in various aspects of project management, operation of internal tools, publishing and broadcasting operations.  

Your role will allow you to connect with members from various internal and external tournament stakeholders and experience all stages of the organizational circle from the initial proposal to the implementation as well as reporting and evaluation of an event. 

What will you learn? 

• Gain knowledge in event and tournament management, interact with external esports organizations and players; 

• Contribute to events played and watched by tens of thousands of players;  

• Prioritization of tasks as well as decision-making under time constraints; 

• Full-cycle project management for tournaments; 

• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and other functional teams and roles like Content (article writing), Social Media, Live Streams, Legal, Business Development and Partnerships and other involved people to support overall feature delivery. 

What are we looking for? 

• C1 advanced English knowledge (spoken and written); 

• Good communication and collaboration skills; 

• Passion for and knowledge of video games; 

• Interest in competitive activities/esports; 

• Willingness to learn new things and take constructive feedback;  

• Knowledge of the MS Office suite; 

• Project Management experience. 

What will help you stand out? 

• In-depth World of Tanks game knowledge or high proficiency in other video game titles; 

• Streaming or Broadcast experience (in front of the camera or operational); 

• Willingness to create an awesome experience for players and viewers alike.
