ABOUT THE POSITION
As a Producer in Virtuos Labs Lyon, you will be at the forefront of driving innovative projects through your perfect understanding of project management methodologies. Your role is pivotal in orchestrating seamless collaboration with our engineering teams and our clients, ensuring iterative development and the delivery of highly innovative and qualitative solutions.
This position demands a leader with a deep understanding of project management principles, outstanding communication skills, and a passion for fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end project lifecycle, from concept to delivery, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Ensure project management frameworks and processes are being followed by the team and guarantee its overall understanding and adherence to.
- Foster a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and accountability within the team.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, understanding their requirements and expectations to translate them into a cohesive and comprehensive product backlog.
- Partner with the project team and stakeholders in refining and grooming product backlog to a level that is acceptable to estimate the level of efforts and to deliver.
- Communicate project updates, milestones, and risks effectively to clients and internal stakeholders. Understand and translate feedback into actionable and report on their progress.
- Responsible for working with the project team to identify and address critical path and roadblock issues and develop mitigation plans accordingly.
- Implement and maintain rigorous quality assurance processes to ensure the delivery of high-quality work.
- Identify and assess project risks, developing mitigation strategies to address potential challenges.
- Proactively communicate risks to relevant stakeholders and implement contingency plans as needed.
- Emphasize lightweight, yet comprehensive documentation, focusing on what has been done and acceptance criteria.
- Adopt a culture of continuous improvement to enhance and evolve the organization’s overall Project Management framework and practices.
- Collaborate with other producers in designing and implementing project management initiative.
Qualifications
- 4-5+ years' experience as a Producer, managing teams within software development industry.
- Excellent knowledge about project management frameworks (Agile, waterfall, etc.), a certification is a plus.
- English proficiency; fluency in French is a plus.
- Good working knowledge of games and an understanding of how game software is made.
- Mature personality, able to manage relationships at a senior level and appreciate multicultural working environments.
- Creative, pragmatic and able to find the best solutions to overcome obstacles and ensure project development.
- Strong leadership skills, able to drive various functions through the whole development process.
- Excellent organizational and analytical skills to deliver quality projects within tight deadlines.
- In-depth knowledge and passion for video games.
- Great communication skills.
