Job Description

As an Account Executive at Google, you'll nurture relationships with clients and agency partners, showcasing the value of Google's media solutions to achieve marketing and business goals. You'll build long-term strategies, lead cross-functional teams, and present advertising products to meet client objectives. Data-driven analyses and consultative recommendations are key. You'll need deep understanding of Google's advertising products and how they align with various marketing objectives. This role requires managing C-level client relationships, developing comprehensive strategies, achieving growth goals, and presenting compelling data-driven solutions. The role involves working within a complex organization and collaborating closely with internal teams to drive client success.
Must have:
  • 8 years of experience in advertising/sales/business development/IT (or 6 years with advanced degree)
  • Build & manage C-level client relationships
  • Develop & implement long-term client strategies
  • Achieve growth goals using Google advertising products
  • Data-driven analysis and consultative recommendations
Good to have:
  • 6 years managing executive-level relationships
  • 4 years in performance media

Job Details

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of industry experience in advertising, consultative sales, business development, or IT, or 6 years of experience with an advanced degree.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 6 years of experience managing relationships with customers or agencies and service partners at an executive level.
  • 4 years of experience working in the performance media industry or product area.
  • 2 years of experience working in a complex, matrixed organization.
  • Experience in a leadership role.

As an Account Executive, you will help us drive growth by nurturing strong relationships with our customers and agency partners and demonstrate the value of our media solutions to deliver on marketing and business goals. You will join a fun and smart team, passionate about storytelling to grow AI-driven Performance Advertising. Our customer is at a critical moment in its evolution where leaning into the adoption of AI has driven great results, but the next evolution will be harder and even more powerful. Your work and the goal you set for this business will impact all phases of the marketing funnel. You will have the chance to compete with Performance budgets, TV, Social, and Programmatic.

Our Large Customer Sales teams partner closely with many of the world’s biggest advertisers and agencies to develop digital solutions that build businesses and brands. We enjoy a bird’s eye view on the massive transformation occurring as advertising shifts to mobile and online platforms. We're uniquely situated to help shape how companies grow their businesses in the digital age. We advise clients on Google's broad range of products across search, video and mobile to help them connect instantly and seamlessly with their audiences.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $134,000-$196,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.

Responsibilities

  • Build and manage relationships with C-level clients and partner stakeholders. Develop a comprehensive understanding of their business challenges, marketing objectives, and success metrics.
  • Structure a clear, long-term joint strategy between Google and clients, and lead a cross-functional team within Google to collaborate on projects and drive client success.
  • Plan for, and achieve, growth goals, through the presentation of Google advertising products/solutions that will help clients to meet their marketing objectives. 
  • Develop forward thinking, data-driven analyses and consultative recommendations that align with customer goals, and quantify high-impact opportunities with clear recommendations to present to customers.
  • Build knowledge of how Google Advertising products work and can be used to help meet a wide range of marketing objectives.
