Job Description

Everyrealm seeks an Assistant General Counsel to work remotely, part-time (20-40 hours/week). Responsibilities include drafting and reviewing agreements (employment, vendor, etc.), providing HR legal support, developing and maintaining website terms and policies, overseeing IP management (trademarks), and conducting legal research. The ideal candidate will have a JD, bar admission, 3-5 years of relevant experience (employment law, contract negotiation, IP), tech/startup experience, and strong attention to detail. Crypto experience is a plus. The position requires working US East Coast hours.

Description

Position Type: Part-Time to Full-Time (20-40 hours/week)

Position Overview

Everyrealm is seeking a reliable, experienced and detail-oriented legal professional to join the Everyrealm legal team as in-house assistant general counsel. This role is fully remote and offers the flexibility to work between 20 and 40 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities

Draft and Review Agreements: Prepare, review, and negotiate employment and consultant agreements, vendor agreements, and other contractual documents.
HR Legal Support: Advise on employment law matters, employee policies, and HR functions.
Website and Terms: Develop and maintain website terms of service, privacy policies, and other legal documentation to ensure regulatory compliance.
Intellectual Property Management: Oversee trademark filings, intellectual property matters, and protect the company’s IP assets.
Legal Research: Conduct thorough legal research to provide sound advice on emerging legal issues and regulations.

Requirements

Qualifications

Education: Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
Bar Admission: Active bar membership in at least one U.S. state (good standing).
Experience:

Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant legal experience (in-house or law firm).
Proven experience with employment law, contract negotiation, and intellectual property matters.
Tech company and/or startup experience.
Crypto experience is a plus.

Skills:

Willingness to work U.S. east coast time zone hours.
Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment.
Familiarity with technology, including a paperless office.
