The Associate Director, AMR Manufacturing Data Product Management & Insights will lead data-driven decision-making across Americas manufacturing organizations. The role requires a strong understanding of manufacturing functions and data analytics tools. They will lead the development of advanced analytics models and tools to generate insights that support decision-making across manufacturing.

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Data Product Management & Insights Leader to join our Global Operations Analytics organization. This role will be pivotal in driving data-driven decision-making and insights across Americas manufacturing organizations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data product management, analytics, and insights, equipment manufacturing processes with a proven history of leading cross-functional teams and delivering impactful data solutions.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute data product strategies that align with the goals of the AMR Manufacturing value streams. Provide leadership to drive the adoption of data-driven practices and foster a culture of innovation and excellence.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams (San Diego, Madison, Hayward Manufacturing) to identify data and business workflow solution needs, gather requirements, and deliver actionable insights. Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure data solutions meet business objectives and drive operational improvements.

  • Data Product Management: Conduct stakeholder interviews and voice of customers to define analytics vision, roadmap, features, user stories. Conduct PI planning and agile ceremonies as applicable across data product deliveries.

  • Insights Generation: Lead the development of advanced analytics models and tools to generate insights that support decision-making across manufacturing.

  • Team Leadership: Provide leadership and mentorship to a team of data and process engineering professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment. Encourage continuous learning and professional development within the team.

  • Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance processes, reporting capabilities, and overall data maturity within the organization. Identify opportunities for automation and optimization of data workflows.

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with senior leadership and key stakeholders to communicate data insights, trends, and recommendations. Present findings in a clear and compelling manner to drive strategic decision-making. Lead monthly steering committee meetings and quarterly business updates to stakeholders.

Preferred Experience/Education/Skills:

  • Education: Advanced degree in a related field (e.g., Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Business Analytics) is preferred.

  • Experience: 10+ years of proven experience in data product management, analytics, and insights, with a strong understanding of consumable/instrument manufacturing functions. Life sciences/manufacturing industry experience is a plus. Strong project management skills, with experience in defining project scope, objectives, and deliverables, developing project plans, and managing project budgets and resources.

  • Leadership: Demonstrated influential leadership skills with the ability to lead and inspire cross-functional teams. Proven track record of developing predictive insights solutions for inventory, procurement, logistics and planning leveraging SAP, LIMS, Equipment, SCADA, or other related technology stack.

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in data analytics tools and technologies, such as SQL, Python, R, Tableau, Power Bi, and cloud data warehousing solutions (snowflake/databricks/aws). Experience in delivering data as a product leveraging data product management tools like Jira and Confluence. Strong understanding of big data architecture, data governance, data quality, and data security principles. Experience with IIOT, SAP S4 Hana, SAP Analytics Cloud, Machine Learning, AI, Gen AI are a plus.

  • Communication: Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex data into clear and actionable insights. Strong interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.

The estimated base salary range for the Associate Director, AMR Manufacturing Data Product Management & Insights role based in the United States of America is: $152,600 - $228,800. Should the level or location of the role change during the hiring process, the applicable base pay range may be updated accordingly. Compensation decisions are dependent on several factors including, but not limited to, an individual’s qualifications, location where the role is to be performed, internal equity, and alignment with market data. Additionally, all employees are eligible for one of our variable cash programs (bonus or commission) and eligible roles may receive equity as part of the compensation package.
