Elsewhere Entertainment seeks an Associate Rendering Engineer to contribute to a new IP's development. Working within the Engineering department, you'll collaborate with content teams to enhance gameplay systems' visual fidelity. Responsibilities include developing cutting-edge technology with the engine team, understanding desired visual results with the content team, writing high-quality code meeting performance goals, analyzing and optimizing rendering pathways, contributing feature ideas, educating developers on rendering technologies, adhering to coding standards, and understanding game development cycle constraints (prioritizing bug fixing and optimization when necessary).

Job Description:

Elsewhere Entertainment is looking for an Associate Rendering Engineer to join the development of a new IP.  
 

As a member of the Engineering department, you’ll work closely with content teams to push our gameplay systems to new heights of fun and visual fidelity, creating new systems and leverage existing ones to realize AAA-quality gameplay. 


You’ll help us by…

  • Work with the engine team to develop cutting edge technology
  • Work closely with the content team to understand the desired visual results.
  • Write and maintain robust, high-quality code which meets performance goals given the challenging technical constraints of the target platforms.
  • Analyse, optimize, and improve existing rendering pathways and content creator workflows.
  • Contribute ideas for features and improvements as the engine evolves.
  • Communicate and educate fellow developers about implemented features and rendering technologies in general.
  • Adhere to team coding standards and best practices.
  • Understand and embrace the constraints of a game development cycle. (you know when bug fixing, and optimization become more important than new features)
