DEVOPS ENGINEER

The DevOps Engineer will collaborate with Development and QA teams to ensure the availability, scalability, and security of production environments. They will focus on writing code for zero downtime deployments, automating scaling and resource management, and implementing monitoring and logging solutions to understand service health. Responsibilities include architecting, delivering, and managing services, building secure and scalable systems in the cloud, managing and improving deployment pipelines, and addressing production infrastructure and application issues. The role involves on-call rotation and requires a strong understanding of networking principles.

Must Have

• 5+ years administering Linux and Windows environments
• 3+ years of development experience (e.g., JavaScript, Golang, PowerShell, Python, bash)
• Experience working with an Agile Development software team
• Expertise in AWS technologies
• Automating deployments of cloud-based, highly-available, containerized services
• Management of resources using Infrastructure as Code tools
• Maintaining production environments in the cloud
• Strong experience with SQL and NoSQL
• Experience with Containers and Container orchestration
• Experience with managing load-balanced, high-volume, highly available application environments
• Experience with monitoring, logging, and analysis tools
• Solid understanding of networking principles and how it applies to data flow and security

Responsibilities:
Work closely with Development and QA teams to architect, deliver and manage services.
Build systems that are secure, scalable and self-healing in the public cloud.
Manage and improve our deployment pipeline.
Triage and remediate production infrastructure and application issues.
Participate in on-call rotation.

Skills & Experience:
5+ years administering Linux and Windows environments.
3+ years development experience (e.g. JavaScript, Golang, PowerShell, Python, bash).
Experience working with an Agile Development software team.
Expertise in AWS technologies.
Automating deployments of cloud based highly-available containerized services (Octopus Deploy, TeamCity, Jenkins, Kubernetes).
Management of resources using Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation).
Maintaining production environments in the cloud (e.g. Azure, AWS, Google Cloud).
Strong experience with SQL and NoSQL.
Experience with Containers and Container orchestration.
Experience with managing load balanced, high volume, highly available application environment and knowledge of configuration management for load balancers, SSL tunnels, CDN's, DNS and firewalls.
Experience with monitoring, logging, and analysis tools (e.g. Datadog, SumoLogic, New Relic, ELK Stack, Prometheus, Fluentd, Grafana).
Solid understanding of networking principles and how it applies to data flow and security.
