Job Details
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, and with data structures/algorithms.
- 3 years of experience building and developing large-scale infrastructure or distributed systems.
- 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role; overseeing projects, with 2 years of experience in a people management, supervision/team leadership role.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience in one or more of the following: Infrastructure Design, Platform as a Service, Backend.

The Geo team also enables developers to use the power of Google Maps platforms to enhance their apps and websites. As they plot a course for the future of mapping, they are solving complex computer science problems, designing beautiful and intuitive product experiences, and improving our understanding of the real world.
Responsibilities
- Understand User Generated Content (UGC) requirements for Geo and help with the solutions to provide the capabilities as a platform.
- Support technical direction, prioritize projects. Apply Google's engineering practices in order to design, develop, test, deploy, maintain and improve the ecosystem.
- Build scalable infrastructure to help maintain trust for UGC for all Geo products.
- Collaborate and drive complex projects while engaging with multiple other ML and infrastructure teams within Geo and Google.
