Job Description
As an Enterprise Technology Engineer at Immutable, you'll support the global workforce, primarily acting as the IT contact for the Sydney office. Responsibilities include configuring and operating workplace IT, collaboration tools, and providing IT support. You'll partner with non-technology business units, mentor team members, and collaborate on a strategy for business applications, workplace IT, and support. This role requires a minimum of 3 days a week in the Sydney HQ and involves using DevOps principles for repeatable work, automation, and leveraging technology effectively.
Must have:
- 5+ years IT experience in startups/scale-ups
- Experience delivering exceptional IT services
- DevOps principles for repeatable work
- Automation experience
- Passion for teaching and influencing
- Google Workspace, device management, Atlassian suite experience
Good to have:
- Identity providers (Okta/SAML/OIDC)
- Slack administration
- Cisco Meraki networking
- Scripting/automation (Bash, Python, Powershell)

At Immutable, our Enterprise Technology team exists to help our teams achieve their goals by using technology smartly.
This means providing Immutables with a solid set of collaboration and AV tools, ensuring Immutables' devices are stable and secure, and supporting our business units in choosing and integrating business applications that help them level up. This also means ensuring Immutables know about the tools available to them and understand the expectations regarding how to access and use them.
As an Enterprise Technology Engineer, you will support our global workforce and be the primary IT contact for our Sydney office, where most AU-based employees are located.
To be successful in this role, you will be required to come into our Sydney HQ at least 3 times a week.
You will have the opportunity to:
- Configure and operate our workplace IT, collaboration tooling and IT support
- Act as an Enterprise Technology Business Partner to our non-technology business units (Finance, HR, Marketing, Sales, etc.), along with our other Enterprise Technology EngineersPartner with our Enterprise Security team
- Mentor and teach the organisation to work together using technology
- Collaborate with our Head of Security and other team members to develop a strategy and roadmap for business applications, workplace IT, collaboration tooling and IT support
We would love for you to have:
- At least 5+ years of proven experience delivering IT services at startups/scale-ups
- Demonstrated experience delivering services that people love
- Experience using DevOps principles to make your work repeatable & iterative
- The ability to think about how to get more done with less, e.g. by using automation
- The passion for teaching and influencing others and seeing this as one of your core strengths
- Exposure to these or similar tools: Google Workspace, device management (Kandji/InTune), Atlassian suite, identity providers (Okta/SAML/OIDC), Slack administration, Cisco Meraki networking, and scripting/automation tools (Bash, Python, Powershell, or low-code platforms)
