Job Description

The Lead in Fintech Platform Operations is responsible for ensuring high customer satisfaction for services delivered to Cloud customers. This role involves Tier 2 and Tier 3 operational activities, collaboration with global Platform Operations teams, ensuring contractual SLAs are met, adhering to efficient standard methodologies, maintaining team knowledge, addressing partner concerns, and providing optimal environments for operations staff. The role requires strategic thinking, reviewing end-to-end processes, and contributing to groundbreaking projects. Responsibilities include testing, planning, and deploying changes, handling incidents, facilitating disaster recovery tests, driving continuous improvement, promoting a "security first" culture, and implementing technical and process improvements.
Must have:
  • 10+ years of experience in managing mission-critical environments
  • Expertise in cloud technologies like Terraform and Ansible
  • Knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes
  • Solid understanding of Linux and Windows administration
  • Knowledge in ITIL, IBM MQ, Patching & Vulnerability Management
  • Strong understanding of Networking - TCP/IP, firewalls, VPN
  • Familiarity with Oracle, PostgreSQL, or other RDBMS
  • Experience of Terraform, Bash or Python scripting
Good to have:
  • AWS, Azure, OCI certifications
  • Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) Certification
  • Citrix experience and/or certifications

What You Will Do

This division's mission is to continuously enhance the customer experience in how they consume the software and services, using a strategic customer-centric approach focused on driving customer adoption and retention. We are looking for a Lead in our Fintech Platform Operations organization, responsible for ensuring the highest customer satisfaction possible for services delivered to our Cloud customers. As a senior member of the team covering Tier2 and Tier3 operational activities and collaborating with other members of the Platform Operations team distributed worldwide, you will ensure contractual SLAs are met, efficient standard methodologies are built and adhered to, knowledge within the team is maintained and up to date, partner concerns are given the right level of attention, and operations staff are provided with optimal environments to perform their work. You will need to think strategically about the overall business, review end-to-end processes and contribute to defining groundbreaking projects that will continue and expand its role as a best-in-class managed services, collaborating and working multi-functionally with teams across Nasdaq FinTech division including R&D, security, product support, and customer delivery.

  • Test, plan, and deploy changes to our existing systems for operational excellence, as well as implementing new solutions to enhance our customer offerings

  • Handle appropriate incidents (and problems) through to resolution, referring and raising to other resolver groups as required

  • Facilitate planning and execution of disaster recovery tests and other BCP activities

  • Ensure support for a culture of continuous improvement, including identifying areas for potentially improved automation and feeding back to relevant teams

  • Drive the culture of “security first” and continuous improvements

  • Identify, design, and implement technical and process improvements to improve service delivery metrics.

What We Expect

  • 10+ years of relevant professional industry experience in managing 24x7x365 mission-critical environments

  • Expertise in cloud technologies including areas such as, Terraform, Ansible, Datadog

  • Knowledgeable in containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes

  • Solid understanding of Various Linux distros and Windows administration

  • Knowledge in ITIL, IBM MQ, Patching & Vulnerability Management

  • Strong understanding of Networking- TCP/IP, firewalls, VLAN, VPN

  • Familiarity with Oracle, PostgreSQL, or other RDBMS

  • Experience of Terraform, Bash or Python scripting

What Would Be Helpful
