Job Description

This Field Sales Representative role at Google Public Sector focuses on new client acquisition within the U.S. Special Operations Forces. Responsibilities include building executive relationships, influencing strategic direction, managing the entire business cycle, and presenting findings to C-level executives. The role requires leading account strategy for business growth, collaborating with engineers and partners, understanding customer technology footprints, and driving business development to achieve strategic goals. The representative will lead customers through the entire sales cycle, from initial contact to closing the deal. A strong understanding of the technology landscape and experience selling to government clients is essential.
Must have:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 10+ years in technology sales
  • Experience selling SaaS/PaaS/IaaS
  • C-level engagement experience
  • Active Top Secret clearance (SCI eligibility)
Good to have:
  • Experience with US National Security Government customers
  • Experience with Federal System Integrators
  • Experience promoting infrastructure software/cloud solutions
  • Experience with commercial and legal agreements

Job Details


Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience in technology sales or working with customers in a sales role.
  • Experience in the technology industry with SaaS, PaaS or IaaS products and platforms.
  • Experience engaging with accounts, selling a portfolio of products at C-level.
  • Active Top Secret clearance, with eligibility for Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI).

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with solutions for the United States (US) National Security Government customers that operate in regulated/secure operating environments.
  • Experience working with and managing industry partner relationships, including global/federal system integrators and independent software vendors.
  • Experience engaging with the Federal Systems Integrators that support US National Security Government customers.
  • Experience promoting infrastructure software, databases, investigative tools, applications software, or cloud solutions.
  • Experience with commercial and legal agreements, working with Procurement, Legal, and Business teams.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $114,000-$169,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Build executive relationships with the U.S. Special Operations Forces customers, influence long-term strategic direction, and serve as a business partner.
  • Discuss and manage the entire business cycle and present the findings to C-level executives.
  • Lead account strategy in generating and developing business growth opportunities, and work with Customer Engineers and Google Partners to optimize business results in territory.
  • Understand the customer technology footprint, strategic growth plans, business drivers, technology strategy, and business landscape.
  • Drive business development, forecast accurately, and achieve strategic goals by leading customers through the entire business cycle.
