Frontend Web Developer

We are currently seeking a talented Front-End Developer for a remote contract opportunity. This role will primarily focus on parallax updates and creating visually compelling, high-performing web experiences for one of our valued clients.

As a Front-End Developer, you will collaborate closely with the Creative Director and digital design team to bring designs to life, ensuring that user interfaces are both visually engaging and highly functional. You will be responsible for transforming Figma designs into responsive, interactive web and mobile experiences, with a keen focus on usability, accessibility, and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement visually engaging, high-quality front-end code for web and mobile interfaces.
• Translate Figma designs into functional, interactive experiences using Astro and other front-end technologies.
• Ensure a seamless balance between usability, accessibility, and design aesthetics across both web and mobile platforms.
• Collaborate with designers and stakeholders to refine the user experience and meet project objectives.
• Optimize applications for speed, performance, and scalability, delivering a high-quality user experience.
• Integrate dynamic content with various CMS platforms.
• Utilize Jira for task management, project tracking, and collaboration.
• Adhere to front-end development best practices, maintaining clean, maintainable code.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in front-end development.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 5+ years of front-end development experience with a strong portfolio of visually impressive web projects.
• Expertise in parallax visual design execution—a key focus of this role.
• Proficiency in Astro for front-end development.
• Experience using Figma to implement design concepts into working code.
• Familiarity with Jira for workflow management.
• Strong understanding of responsive design principles and ability to match UI to design specifications.
• Hands-on experience with CMS platforms and integrating dynamic content.
• Strong knowledge of coding best practices, object-oriented principles, and performance optimization.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with a self-motivated and proactive attitude.
• A strong portfolio showcasing your ability to deliver visually striking web development projects.

Compensation & Contract Details:

• Type: Remote Contract
• Duration: 3-week contract, with potential for extension
• Pay: $50 - $60/hr, based on experience
