Job Description

This is a great opportunity to start your career within the workers compensation self-insurance team. You will receive industry-leading training in end-to-end workers compensation claims management. This role is suited for self-motivated individuals with high attention to detail and customer service experience. You will assist in providing timely services to injured workers, review claims, and implement early intervention strategies. You will work closely with a team and adhere to all relevant regulations.
Must have:
  • Tertiary qualifications (or working towards) within allied health, nursing, etc.

Description:

At Marsh we have a fantastic opportunity for an individual keen to begin their career within our leading workers compensation self-insurance team in Adelaide.  You will gain industry leading training and guidance in the management of end-to-end workers compensation claims management, where the law and medical science intersect on a daily basis for our 500 annual participants.

Prior experience is not necessary; however, this role will suit those who are self-motivated, with a high attention detail and past experience in a customer-facing role.

This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

We will count on you to:

  • Assist in providing timely services to injured workers and Members.
  • Assist in the delivery of proactive claims liability review, determination and advisory services that enables the early return to work and mitigation of lost time injuries from start to end of claim.
  • Assist in the implementation of early intervention and engagement strategies.
  • Participate in medical case conferences, as required.
  • Work closely with the Team Leader, Senior Claims Consultants, Senior RTW Consultants and Risk & Safety Advisers.
  • Undertake all duties in line with the Return to Work Act, Regulations and the Performance Standards for Self- Insurers.

What you need to have: 

  • Tertiary qualifications (or working towards) within allied health, nursing, psychology, business, HR/IR or law (desirable but not a necessity)
  • Previous experience within insurance claims management, or customer call centre operations is highly advantageous although not mandatory
  • Good problem-solving skills
  • A high attention to detail and spotting errors
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Strong relationship building skills
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as a part of a close-knit team.
