Job Description

The Head of Programmatic Media at Google manages a team driving Programmatic Media growth via DV360. This role involves managing Account Executives and Account Managers, building Canada's Programmatic growth strategy, and collaborating with LCS teams and specialists (including YouTube). Responsibilities include fostering senior-level relationships, setting team priorities, driving product adoption, providing expert guidance to cross-functional teams, and executing unique business partnerships. The ideal candidate will consult clients on achieving goals across various channels, navigating the changing privacy landscape, and leveraging marketing technology. The position requires strong leadership, strategic thinking, and expertise in programmatic media, DV360, and digital advertising.
Must have:
  • 11+ years in advertising/digital marketing
  • People management experience
  • DV360 or similar platform experience
  • Business forecasting & projection management
  • Data-driven influencing & cross-functional collaboration
  • Exceeding sales quotas and managing multiple projects
Good to have:
  • Experience working across programmatic media, AdTech, or MarTech
  • Experience helping clients overcome business challenges

Job Details

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 11 years of experience in advertising sales, digital marketing, consulting, or media.
  • Experience in people management.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in managing digital advertising campaigns with DV360 or a similar product and working across programmatic media, AdTech, or MarTech.
  • Experience in business forecasting and management of business projections across multiple product lines.
  • Experience in influencing partners through the use of data, thought leadership, and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Ability to multi-task across multiple projects, sales leads and internal stakeholders with a strong track record of exceeding sales quotas.
  • Ability to help customers with business challenges and achieve positive outcomes.

Using your relationship-building skills, you provide Google-caliber client service, research and market analysis. You anticipate how decisions are made, persistently explore and uncover the business needs of Google's key clients and understand how our range of product offerings can grow their business. Working with them, you set the vision and the strategy for how their advertising can reach thousands of users.

In this role, you will manage a team of Account Executives and Account Managers that drive Programmatic Media growth via DV360 through competitive selling into key named accounts and Agencies. You will be expected to build and support the Canada level Programmatic growth strategy plan and work closely on the strategic priorities with leaders across Large Customer Sales (LCS) teams and other specialists including the YouTube sales team. Furthermore, you will develop key relationships with senior level client and agency stakeholders who focus on Display, Video, TV, Audio and more. You will consult customers on meeting their goals across a variety of channels while also helping them navigate the changing Privacy landscape and current and emerging marketing tech.

Responsibilities

  • Build and foster long-term senior level relationships with programmatic decision makers. Partner with LCS teams on the opportunity and work together to drive product adoption and growth.
  • Manage a team of Account Executives, set and communicate team priorities and make decisions and support activities that align with Google’s values.
  • Set and drive business strategy and product adoption for our clients and agencies across all programmatic buying priorities.
  • Provide guidance and specialized expertise to a cross-functional set of Google teams on the dynamics, trends, opportunities, and challenges of our clients and agencies and implications for programmatic growth.
  • Create, identify, and execute unique business partnership opportunities, including leadership of cross-functional teams in the negotiation of large, complex programmatic media agreements.
